WHAT'S NEW
WE'VE EXPANDED CURBSIDE SERVICE
We have good news! We have expanded our Curbside Pickup service from 400 to 600 appointments per week, beginning August 4. Thanks to everyone who has taken advantage of our extremely popular curbside service. We hope these increased appointments reduce your wait times. MEET MEREDITH MAY, BEEKEEPER
There's still time to sign up to join author of The Honey Bus and 5th generation beekeeper Meredith May for her live online talk Thursday evening at 6:30pm! The event is sponsored by Friends of the Redwood City Public Library with proceeds from our RCPL Bees honey sales!

LIBRARY SERVICE FOR KIDS
With the March shelter in place order, we had to postpone many amazing programs and services. Despite it all, we know our community needed us more than ever. And so we re-envisioned and re-envisioned again! Please enjoy this snapshot of RCPL, version 2020.

For our Stories and Play series, we have recorded around 250 stories with 100 of them in Spanish. The community has viewed these storytimes 8,300 times.

Stories From Your Community - We are so inspired by the community partners that have read books to you: Firefighters, Community Leaders, Asian Pacific Heritage, Persian, Doctors, Stanford Athletes, Police, School Librarians, Public Works Department, Library Foundation, City Trees, and Casa Circulo Cultural. The community has viewed these storytimes over 1,600 times.

Our Online Bilingual Storytime on Thursdays at 10am has drawn 260 community members. You love Armando!

Our ever-popular  Little Learners has gone remote! The success of this program has spawned Camp Little Learners, Craft Camp for grades K-3, and Teen Online Craft Club. We have handed out 800 kits.

Book Clubs (English and Spanish) - We have book clubs for all ages! Visit our event calendar to find the next session.

Paws for Tales, our read to dogs program, has been re-envisioned too. We have worked with the Peninsula Humane Society to take this program virtual. Join us on August 1 for the next session!

For Teens, we have Teen Craft Club, Teen Connect, and
Fortnite Tournaments. Find more information on our For Teens page.

Summer Learning Challenge - Through local school outreach and via our Summer Learning Curbside window, we have passed out thousands of free books. You've also participated in dozens of fun online programs, with more to come, listed here. There's still time to join the challenge!

We'd like to extend a special thank you to the Friends of the Redwood City Library.
It is due to their support that we are able to offer these and many more library programs.
