Greetings! Ollie’s Place Specialty Suites will begin to operate a Community Health Outreach program at the House of Dawn (HoD)! We are commemorating with a ribbon cutting on September 11, 2022. An answer to a call for help in our community, Ollie’s Place Specialty Suites in collaboration with the House of Dawn, and Life Health and Wellness, LLC bring services, information, education, and tools for a healthier mind, body, and soul.

The individualized care and services offered in a safe, serene and comforting environment are an example of how we designed the program along with a warm, compassionate team of professionals and peers in an effort to remove some of the barriers that are preventing people from accessing care. “Our hope is to keep people from being hospitalized or worse, dying from a preventable or manageable illness," says Sheila Taylor, founder of Ollie’s Place Specialty Suites and Board Chair of the House of Dawn.

Ollie’s Place Specialty Suites was founded by Sheila Taylor. It is named in honor of Sheila’s mom, Ollie, who passed from kidney disease caused by lupus while waiting on a kidney transplant. Ollie's birthday, September 11th, is such an appropriate time to answer the 911 call for help in our community.

Bria and Dawn prepare for HoD Global Mission

Bria and I are preparing a shipment for our global mission. Wo Ye Bra (which translates to “menstrual cycle” in Twi, a Ghanaian dialect) Program and The House of Dawn are in partnership to improve the lives of girls in Ghana, West Africa by providing sanitary products in order for girls to attend school. Without these products, girls experiencing period poverty miss valuable education time each month.

Indya is headed to Bethune-Cookman!

What an amazing day... we experienced our first second-generation college-bound party at House of Dawn, Inc.! Our home was full of love and support from her family, friends, and her HoD family. We watched her grow and mature into a beautiful young lady. Enjoy Bethune Cookman, Indya! We are all so proud of you! Ashley Buffington, you are an amazing mother! Keep up the good work!
