Expanding the Mission through Partnership

"But as for you, exercise self-control in everything, be steadfast and firm; endure hardship; do the work of an evangelist; and fully carry out your ministry." - 2 Timothy 4:5

Greetings Ministry Partners,

I have just returned from Vietnam, and I thank God for a fruitful and encouraging trip. We are especially grateful for our partnership with Mien International. During this visit, I had the opportunity to meet with their leaders and discuss how our training materials can equip and develop Christian leaders.

The leaders are excited about using these lessons to strengthen their people and expand the ministry. What began as an opportunity in Vietnam now has the potential to reach far beyond Vietnam and the Indochina region, to Mien communities in the United States.

We praise God for opening new doors and connecting ministries with the same vision: equipping leaders, making disciples, and strengthening local churches for long-term sustainability. Please continue to pray that God will give us wisdom, unity, and the right leaders as we move forward together.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your prayers and faithful support of CCI ministry. Your partnership means so much to us and enables us to continue equipping leaders, making disciples, and strengthening local churches.

We praise God for you and for your heart to participate in His work. May the Lord richly bless you and your family with strength, wisdom, good health, and joy as you continue serving Him. Together, we are building people, multiplying disciples, and advancing God’s Kingdom for His glory.

With love and gratitude,

Testimonies

"After completing the first four CCI courses, one of the most important lessons I have learned is the importance of interpreting the Bible accurately, especially when preparing to preach or teach God’s Word.

The training has made me more careful not to interpret Scripture according to my own ideas or understanding, but instead to seek the intended meaning of the biblical text so that I can communicate God’s Word accurately and faithfully.

The four course books I have studied are no longer simply textbooks for me. They have become valuable resources that I regularly use in preparing my sermons and Bible lessons.

I thank God that CCI has helped strengthen my foundation in studying Scripture and has taught me to prepare my teaching and preaching more carefully, while depending on the guidance of the Holy Spirit. My desire is to faithfully communicate God’s Word so that it may be a blessing to others."

Mae Tala Church

"My Christian journey began when I heard the gospel, started attending church, and participated in activities with other believers. As I heard more about God, I became increasingly interested in learning about Jesus Christ and the Bible. I began studying on my own and asking other Christians questions. Eventually, I decided to place my faith in Jesus Christ and receive Him into my life.

As a Christian, I tried to live a good life and follow the examples and teachings of Scripture. However, I also began to recognize weaknesses in my own heart. At times, when I saw other Christians behaving poorly, I thought they had less faith and began to see myself as a better Christian than they were.

Later, as consistency in my spiritual life began to fade and I faced various difficulties, I gradually stopped attending church meetings and participating in fellowship. I also stopped reading the Bible regularly. As a result, the peace in my heart began to disappear, and my Christian life was no longer bearing the fruit it should.

Then I had the opportunity to study the Bible through CCI. Through this training, my spiritual life began to be renewed. I once again experienced a sense of closeness with God, and the foundation of my faith became stronger. CCI has helped me study the Bible in a systematic, practical, and understandable way. I believe that as I continue through the entire curriculum, my understanding of God’s Word and my spiritual life will continue to grow.

One of the most important lessons I have learned is that being a Christian is about more than simply behaving well. Our words, actions, and attitudes are important and should be like something we 'put on' every day as we live out our Christian faith.

However, there was one important responsibility that I had overlooked: the mission of every believer. Jesus did not call us merely to be believers who live for ourselves. He commanded us to go, share the gospel, and make disciples.

Through CCI, I have not only been drawn closer to God again but also come to understand that the Christian life should be one of spiritual growth, service, and fruitfulness for Christ. My desire now is to put what I have learned into practice and take part in the mission of Jesus so that others may also come to know Him."

Training

Equipping Kachin Leaders for Ministry in Myanmar

From August to October, a group of Christian leaders from Kachin State in northern Myanmar traveled to Chiang Mai, Thailand, for ministry training at a center supervised by the Kachin Baptist Church.

These leaders have a strong heart and vision to preach, teach, and build up local churches, but the ongoing conflict in Myanmar has greatly limited their opportunities for biblical and ministry training.

We thank God for the opportunity to partner with the local Kachin church in meeting this need. The training was conducted in their local language by Thai trainers who had previously completed the CCI training program. I also had the privilege of teaching, encouraging, and discussing ministry with these leaders during their time in Thailand.

Their desire is clear: to return home better equipped to strengthen churches and expand God’s work in Kachin State. Please pray that these leaders will return home safely, serve faithfully, and use what they have learned to strengthen believers, develop other leaders, and carry out fruitful ministry in their communities.

Classes

New Lisu Bible Training Class in Pai, Thailand

Praise God for the opportunity to travel to Pai District, Mae Hong Son Province, to launch a new Bible training class. Although Pai is only about 100 kilometers from Chiang Mai, the mountainous journey takes approximately three hours.

In coordination with local Lisu leaders, three Lisu churches joined to launch this new class, with nearly 40 participants. Many of these leaders have never had the opportunity to attend Bible school, yet they have a strong desire to grow in their knowledge and understanding of God’s Word.

It was encouraging to see their joy and eagerness to learn, to apply biblical principles, to develop godly character, and to grow in the Lord. Please pray for the teachers serving in this area, especially as the training is conducted primarily in the Lisu language. Pray that God will strengthen both the teachers and students and use this training to develop faithful leaders who will serve and strengthen their local churches.

Hmong Class Visit

Last month, I had the opportunity to visit a Bible training class for Hmong believers. The class has been meeting for more than a year, and this was my second visit with them.

Often, classes that have been running for some time experience a decline in attendance. However, I was encouraged to see the opposite here. The students remain committed, enthusiastic, and eager to continue learning God’s Word.

We are also seeing encouraging fruit from the training. Several church leaders have grown in spiritual maturity and are becoming more actively involved in serving God and strengthening their church's ministry.

We thank God for the privilege of partnering with this church. Where there was once discouragement and a lack of clear direction, we are seeing renewed hope and purpose through the Word of God and dependence on the Holy Spirit.

Please continue to pray that these leaders will grow deeper in their faith, faithfully serve others, and help bring lasting spiritual renewal to their church and community.

Staff Update

Grace Upon Grace

"We thank God for His protection, care, and grace over our family in every circumstance. Following an unexpected accident, what we are most thankful for is that my wife and our youngest son are safe and did not suffer any serious injuries. In the midst of an event we could never have anticipated, we clearly experienced God’s grace and protection over our family.

Our vehicle has now been inspected, and the damage has been assessed by a mechanic. We are currently waiting for the necessary replacement parts and repairs to be completed, so it may take some time before the vehicle can be used normally again.

This experience has caused us to pause and appreciate the value of life more deeply. It has also allowed us to experience the love, care, kindness, and prayers of our brothers and sisters in Christ who have stood with our family during this time.

Although we cannot predict what may happen in life, this experience has reminded us that God’s grace is always with us. We have also seen His love expressed through the brothers and sisters who have faithfully stood beside our family. We thank God for His 'grace upon grace,' and we sincerely thank each of you from the bottom of our hearts."
