Bridge Group 18C_R – Frenchtown, East Greenwich/ North Kingstown
We do not expect any traffic impacts at this project next week. At the Frenchtown Road Bridge, our crews will focus on completing miscellaneous concrete work and preparing to install waterproofing prior to paving the bridge deck. At the South County Trail Bridge, they will install rebar, prepare to place concrete for the new bridge deck, adjust the roadway alignment, and install drainage and utilities. Rounding out our operations is the installation of new utilities at the Devil’s Foot Road Bridge.

I-95 15 Bridges, Providence/Cranston/Warwick
As we continue to demolish the old and construct the new bridges we are building along the I-95 corridor, motorists can expect alternating lane closures on both directions of I-95, from Jefferson Boulevard to Thurbers Avenue, Sunday-Wednesday nights from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Specific operations for next week include demolition at the Eddy Street Bridge, steel installation at the Pawtuxet Bridge, and the installation of overhang brackets that will temporarily support the future concrete walls at the Huntington Viaduct, Huntington North and West Elmwood bridges.

The I-95 ‘Missing Move’ and Quonset Ramps Construction, North Kingstown/East Greenwich
Tonight, Friday, June 26, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., we are making some traffic pattern changes involving access from Route 2 (Quaker Lane) to I-95 South. Weather permitting, we are scheduled to permanently close the on-ramp from Route 2 North to I-95 South and open a new ramp to accommodate both directions of Route 2 heading to I-95 South. As crews place the finishing touches on the roadway, pave and stripe, we need to close Exit 24A (Route 2/Quaker Lane) off I-95 South, the on-ramp from Quaker Lane to I-95 South, and in the vicinity of I-95 and its ramps, the right lane on Quaker Lane South and the left lane on Quaker Lane North. A new traffic pattern will be in place at this portion of the project Saturday morning.
Next week, Sunday-Thursday nights from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., expect left lane closures, with frequent vehicle access in and out of the work zone, for material transport, on Route 4 North in the vicinity of Exit 9B (Division Street), and alternating lane closures for sidewalk and traffic signal improvements on Route 1 (Post Road) at Devil’s Foot Road, Gate Road and the Route 403 East on-ramp.

Post Road & West Main Street Curb & Sidewalk, North Kingstown
Drainage installation remains the focus of our ongoing improvements in this area. Expect alternating one-way traffic with narrowed lanes on Route 1 (Post Road), from Camp Avenue to Oakdale Avenue, Sunday-Thursday nights, from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., and right lane closures and narrowed lanes on Route 1 (Post Road), from Camp Avenue to West Main Street, Monday-Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Motorists also may experience frequent vehicle access in and out of the work zones and street parking, driveway or walkway restrictions.

Route 37 Improvements, Cranston/Warwick
Bridge Group 51B: I-295 area
Bridge and roadway improvements involve the closures of Exit 3A (Route 37 West) off I-295 North, and alternating lanes on I-295 South, in the vicinity of Route 37, and I-295 North, from Rte. 37 (Exit 3A/3B) and Exit 9 (Route 6), Sunday-Thursday nights from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Please follow all signed detours.
Bridge Group 51C: I-295 to Pontiac Avenue and from Amtrak to Post Road
We need to close Route 2 (New London Avenue) under Route 37 to remove temporary bridge columns, Monday night from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Please follow the signed detour.

Route 146 Bridges, Lincoln
Overnight bridge painting is scheduled next week at this project. Motorists should expect alternating lane closures on both directions of Route 146 before and after the Breakneck Hill Road and Twin River Road bridges, Sunday-Thursday nights from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Next week, paving operations will continue Sunday-Thursday nights from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. This will require the full or short-duration closure of Route 146, from Route 99 to the Spring Brook Bridge. Several temporary ramp and intersection closures will also be required, including Exit 10 (Rte. 146A North) and Exit 9 (Sayles Hill Road) off Route 146 North, the Route 146 North service road to Route 146, Route 146A South at Dowling Village Boulevard, and the on-ramp from Route 146A to Route 146 North. Additionally, left turns and travel under the Sayles Hill Road Bridge will not be permitted from Route 146 North at Sayles Hill Road. The west side of Sayles Hill Road, from Route 146 to Iron Mine Hill Road, also will be closed and westbound traffic from Route 99 will not be allowed. Please follow signed detours during all closures.

School Street, Lincoln
We finished paving the base course and have started installing curbing within the project area on School Street, from Berkshire Drive to Main Street. Sidewalk installation will follow next week, along with the installation of new drainage and catch basins. School Street, from Old River Road (Route 126) to Main Street in Albion, remains open to local traffic. Through traffic is continuing to follow the signed detour Monday-Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Warwick Corridor Project
We plan to continue to remove the old and place the new curb, sidewalk and driveways along Main Avenue (Route 113) next week at this project. This will require a lane shift from Greenwich Avenue to West Shore Road, Monday-Thursday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
In-water construction continues at this project during daytime hours. Crews also are continuing work on establishing a construction platform in the river on the Providence shoreline to support foundation work.
We are installing 32 drilled shafts that will form the foundation of the new bridge. Each shaft will extend approximately 130 feet to bedrock, creating a support system for the bridge's piers and abutments. Vibration and noise monitoring as well as erosion control are in place.
Within the next two weeks, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., we are scheduled to close up to two lanes on I-195 East over the Washington Bridge, Sunday and Tuesday-Thursday nights, June 28, and June 30-July 2, and on I-195 West over the Washington Bridge, Sunday-Thursday nights, June 29-July 2 for bridge preventative maintenance activities. We are also scheduled to close up to two lanes on I-195 East and West over the Washington Bridge, Sunday-Thursday nights, July 5-9, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for continued bridge preventative maintenance activities. Next week, Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) testing will also require a right lane closure, Monday night, June 29 from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m.
Bridge preservation work for the Providence River (Iway) Bridge will include up to two lanes closed on I-195 West, from the Providence River Bridge to Exit 1B, with one lane at 9 p.m. and a second lane at 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. Monday morning, June 29. We will also have one lane closed on I-195 East, before and after the Providence River Bridge, Monday night, June 29 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. and from Exit 36A on I-95 North and South over the Providence River Bridge, Tuesday night, June 30 from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. Bridge preservation work also will require up to two lanes closed on I-195 East, from Exit 36A on I-95 North and South over the Providence River Bridge, Wednesday and Thursday nights, July 1 and 2, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
