It's time again for Trunk or Treat! We're changing a couple things this year including holding the event outdoors to keep everyone safe during covid but we're not going to let it get in way of the fun! Día de los Muertos NoCo Tour 

Visitors and citizens are encouraged to celebrate Día de los Muertos with this self-guided tour through Northern Colorado Creative Districts. Experience these colorful community altars to celebrate Día de los Muertos in an easy regional driving tour created to bring together the creative communities of the region. Each community has several nichos as part of its Day of the Dead celebrations, and the nichos are located in various accessible locations including museums, libraries, and community centers. Seeing the nichos along this tour is a great socially distanced and accessible activity for families, visitors, and citizens who wish to learn more about the holiday and share in the celebration and remembering of those we have lost.

Virtual 5K
With United Way of Weld County

United Way of Weld County Weld’s Way Home is holding a virtual 5K run/walk from Oct. 24-31. The virtual 5K (3.1 miles) is called Steps for Stability which can be run or walked at the participant’s own pace - indoors or outdoors. The purpose of the 5K is to support individuals and families who are experiencing housing instability in Weld County, and ensuring that every family can meet their basic needs for attaining and maintaining stable housing.

Connection Cares Program

Connections for Independent Living is hosting its Connections Cares program each Friday through November 20 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at its Greeley office at 1331 8th Avenue. Recognizing there are Weld County residents who live with disabilities, and who are currently experiencing homelessness owing to the COVID-19 pandemic and the economy, Connections Cares provides an opportunity to meet with independent living, housing and SSI/SSDI specialists who can provide helpful assistance and guidance.

Retrospective: Fifty Years of Watercolors by Gene Youngmann
At Mari Michener Art Gallery in the James Michener Library at UNC

This exhibition is a sampling of 87 watercolor paintings from over the 50 years of Gene Youngmann's career as a watercolor artist. 

The Exhibition will be open during the regular Library hours, Monday - Thursdays 7:30am to Midnight, Fridays 7:30am to 6pm, Saturdays 10am to 6pm & Sundays noon to Midnight. If you have questions about times or other concerns, please call 1-970-351-2671. The exhibit is located in the Mari Michener Art Gallery on the First Floor with the entrance on the north side of the Library.
