A Look Ahead: Coming up in Lititz in 2023
|
Here in Lititz, we're gearing up for a new year filled with fresh reasons to celebrate our sweet town.
Coming soon is one of our favorite reasons to gather - Lititz Fire & Ice! We're busy planning the event, which runs from February 17th to the 26th, and we are so excited to announce that we will have more ice than we have ever had before! Click here to learn about the festival, which includes our second annual preview party - Winter's Coolest Night Out, the return of the Chili Cook-off, tons of giant sculptures, our kid-focused Winter Funderland, an artistic take on a Fire Show, a Maker's Market, our Local Eyes Photography Exhibit, and a special Sunday Funday to end the event.
After Fire & Ice, we'll be eager to welcome warmer weather and the return of our other favorite events, including Taste of Lititz in June, Lititz Springs Park's July 4th Celebration, the Lititz Rotary Craft Show, Chocolate Walk, and more. To see all of our events, visit our event calendar.
Of course, we're planning a few surprises for 2023 as well. Look for some new public art, fun additions to our Farmers' Market, and more!

Faces of Lititz
The Dosie Dough Edition
Our Faces of Lititz blog continues! Read this series to meet the folks that keep Lititz cool. In this edition, we're talking to Dosie Dough:
Step inside Dosie Dough and you’ll see Lititz’s very own version of Cheers – a place where everybody knows your name, and they aren’t afraid to shout out a greeting – or a rib – when you step inside or pull up a chair on the front patio. It’s warm and welcoming and full of characters. We’ll let you decide who our Norm and Cliff are…
For over 25 years, Dosie Dough has been where we meet to catch up, refuel after a ride or a run, or brainstorm new business ventures. Owner Amy Lloyd has been at the helm since she was 18 and the business has grown and matured with her – but one important thing hasn’t changed.
The joy.

The Best of 2022: We're Looking Back with a Smile
|
|
2022 gave us so many reasons to feel hopeful about our future. Among our favorites? The addition of The Brazilian Table to our Main Street. This new eatery brings sweet and savory Brazilian baked goods to town and while the food is beyond delicious, their warm welcome is what we love the most. Chef Silvia and her daughter Mariana have quickly become treasured members of our Lititz family.
We were also so excited to see additions and renovations in some of our other favorite shops. Aaron's Books revealed new lighting and uncovered gorgeous hardwood floors, Zest! expanded their footprint with a new Stonewall Kitchen "store within a store," Dosie Dough expanded their kitchen and indoor seating area, Stoll & Wolfe Distillery added a private event space, and, thanks to a space swap with Renewal Kombucha, The Savory Gourmet expanded their retail space.
Lititz was also busy getting positive press! In 2022, we were named one of the "Most Charming Main Streets in the United States" by Fodor's and our newly launched website was given a statewide award for promotion from the Pennsylvania Downtown Center. Our Farmers' Market returned with musical entertainment, crafts, and prepared foods and, as always, we enjoyed our time together, sharing smiles over meals and strolling through town. Thanks for the great times, 2022!
