The Mixed Magic Theatre presents CHRISTMAS AT CHATTY'S PLACE
Great Holiday Traditions
Written & Directed by Ricardo Pitts-Wiley. Musical Director Kim Morrison Pitts-Wiley.

"A Joyful Celebration of Holiday and Traditional Favorites with a Special Tribute to the Women and Men in the Armed Services" December 2nd - 11th
FRI-SAT 7:30PM SUN 3:00 PM All Tickets $20.

In Ricardo Pitts-Wiley's holiday musical, Chatty's Place had been a legendary Rhode Island night club. It's founder, Chatty, who was from Chattanooga, Tennessee, in 1933 had brought his childhood friend Bessie Smith to sing the Black community's blues away after the death of Sisseiretta Jones, better known as Black Patty.

It is now the present and the building that housed the night club is about to be torn down. Chatty's grandson CJ, who had grownup hearing about the famous Christmas parties at Chatty's Place, decides to hold one last gathering. He sends out a Facebook post, asking anyone who still remembered to come and celebrate with him. What follows is a night of jazz, blues and Christmas favorites and good times.

The cast features jazz/blues guitarist and singer Kim Trusty, pianist Christopher Hunter, bass player Steve Lewis and singers Danette Briggs, Jeannie Carson, Lawrence Nunes, Michelle DuPuis, Hannah Lum, Skylia Briggs, Natalie Hunter, & Jeremiah Andrade as Chatty's grandson.

Each show will also feature a special guest performer.

Gamm's American Buffalo
Gamm Theatre
172 Exchange St.
Pawtucket, RI
Nov. 17-Dec. 18

by David Mamet, directed by Tyler Dobrowsky
During one long day in a Chicago junk shop, three small-time, tough-talking crooks plot to rob a man of his valuable coin collection, including the rare Buffalo nickel. But when their con goes awry, it's every man for himself in a testosterone-fueled game of dead-end pipe dreams. By turns horrifying and hilarious, cynical and moving, American Buffalo is a small-scale tragedy packed with enough power to explode the American Dream. Hailed as a new American classic in 1977, Mamet's award-winning play is an engrossing experience whether you're seeing it for the first time or rediscovering this defining work.

Connecting We Share Hope
With Pawtucket & Central Falls
this season

We Share Hope (WSH) is a non-profit 501 (c) 3, Rhode Island based food rescue organization made up of volunteers that donate their time, talent and resources to improve and empower the lives of others. We know we can't do it all alone, so we welcome the opportunity to partner with other community organizations in not only accomplishing our goals, but theirs as well.

WSH serves over 40 communities throughout Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Using volunteers through our grass roots connections, we provide tons of recycled food, personal hygiene and health care items for distribution through our mission programs:

Food Pantries * Mobile Loaves and Fish Trucks * Section 8 Housing * Homeless  Shelters * Churches * Low Income Neighborhoods * Assisted Living Facilities * Family Outreach Centers *  Military Housing * Children's Recreation Centers *  Soup Kitchens and directly to those in need

Over the past decade we have evolved a couple of business models that provide sustainable solutions and covers the costs of transporting the food and other items we collect. Currently, our most successful model is the WSH Strategic Partnership Program and this is how it works:
Example Riverside Congregational Church (RCC):

WSH provides on average 14 pallets of food and toiletries to RCC a week. Individuals who want to benefit from this program will be required to register at the site as a WSH client. Registration information will include client's name, age, mailing address, and household family size. All data collected is kept confidential and is used to assist WSH in their outreach efforts.

Once a WSH client is registered, they can receive food at $3 bag and toiletries for $5 bag. The site is open 5 days a week and they may return as often as needed

Each site is required to:
1.  Have a point person (site coordinator) who communicates directly with WSH. This person is in charge of coordinating their volunteers that unload the trucks, stock the shelves and help distribute food to the WSH clients.
2. Provide proper refridgeration for the perishable items.
3. Collect funds from the WSH clients and getting those funds to We Share Hope.
