Dear Yoga Community,
Rain, ice, sleet, and snow and then a warm afternoon - Welcome New England Spring. Yesterday I reluctantly took a walk in the cold rain. As so often happens, once I got out in it, I enjoyed the movement and felt good to be out in nature. Our bodies like movement.
In yoga practice, we intentionally move the body in diverse ways—side-bends, forward extensions, twists, and more. These mindful movements stimulate the entire body, rejuvenating areas often neglected in daily life.
Looking at our yard today, the shaded corners still hold patches of snow and are like the hard to reach spaces in the body - dark corners waiting for the sunlight to reach them. Doing a practice of yoga those areas start to experience some movement, break up stiffness and feel some light coming in.
Join us for a weekly class or series and discover how yoga can energize and enrich your life, both on and off the mat.
