As the largest German immersion school in North America and the only German immersion school in Minnesota, our value of intercultural engagement is at the heart of our school community. TCGIS students have the privilege of learning another language, forming relationships with people from other parts of the world, experiencing the traditions of cultures outside their own, and being exposed to new ideas and perspectives. These opportunities foster important attributes for the global citizens of tomorrow: open-mindedness, curiosity, empathy and genuine appreciation for the unique gifts we each bring to the world. Your gift at work The TCGIS community is deeply enriched by the international staff members and interns who choose to teach at our school.  Your gift to the Annual Fund supports TCGIS with expenses related to employing international staff and hosting interns from German-speaking nations. Vielen Dank!   Why give to TCGIS? With roughly 50% of our staff being from Europe, intercultural engagement is the norm at TCGIS. We work hard to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where we can acknowledge our differences, celebrate our similarities, and willingly learn from one another. Our students experience the intersection of cultures every day, helping to prepare them to thrive in a multicultural world.
