Staff Highlight!
Kari Baesel
Hello friends, my name is Kari Baesel, and I’m the facility manager at Meadowbrook Park Clubhouse. I’ve been working for the County for over 14 years and spend my time overseeing the Clubhouse, 50 Plus Programs in the Overland Park area and our travel programs. After graduating from Emporia State University with a degree in Recreation, I spent five years working in Florida at a private resort in Key Largo. Being the Recreation Manager at the resort allowed me to offer a wide range of fun programs and events to families on vacation. When I moved back to Kansas, I started my career with Johnson County Park and Recreation District. The aspect of my job I love the most is seeing our participants enjoying life and having fun! In my free time I love spending time with my husband and 2 sons, traveling and reading a good book. If you are in the area, please stop by and say Hi.
