Cooks and Books (Ages 2-5 with Adult)

Enjoy the reading of a favorite children's book and make a coordinating craft. A recipe for an easy, kid-friendly snack will be given out.

Get hands on with food in a fun way. Families will prepare three kid-friendly snacks together. Receive a cookbook to take home to continue the fun.

What do you want to be when you grow up? Join Challenge Island for this no school day and get a taste of some of the world's most exciting jobs from veterinarian to marine biologist to professional basketball player! Early drop off starts at 8 am. Camp learning starts at 9 am.

No school and nothing to do? Join us and all the animals for an adventurous day out at the zoo! We will leave Meadowbrook Park at 9am and return for pick up at Meadowbrook Park at 4pm. Bring money for lunch, drinks, and snack.

Start the day with a short lesson and progress into single tournament play. All individuals play each other each week with results recorded weekly.

Take yoga off the mat and onto the chair in these low intensity classes, incorporating breathing with movement while retaining all the benefits of yoga. Use the chair for support if needed during standing poses. Beginners welcome.

A stretching and strengthening class designed to increase strength and range of motion helping with activities of daily living. This class will take place on Zoom every Thursday. If you are unable to attend class at the scheduled time, you can request a link to watch the recorded class within seven days.

What is that? How do I grow this? What should I put in my garden? What type of garden do I like? So many questions and no one to ask until now. Join the K-State Extension Office and be free to discuss your gardening questions with a Master Gardener.

Want to meet or add new friends to your contact list? Interactive games, hot topics and trivia will have you up meeting fellow attendees and making new friends. Light appetizers will be served, and prizes given.

BINGO! Delight in food, prizes, fun, and 12 games of bingo. Variety of prizes awarded including gift certificates. Space is limited, register early by calling 913-831-3359. Cost of admission covers food and staff time to administer the bingo program. No additional charge for bingo.

A man and his chicken sail 45,000 nautical miles in this powerful story of following your dreams no matter what stands in your way. When Guirec Soudee was 21 years old, he bought a 30-foot sailboat and set out across the Atlantic, despite having only sailed a dinghy before. His only companion is plucky pet hen, Monique. Guirec never intended to sail the world with a chicken, but after reaching the Caribbean, he and Monique made for Greenland-and emerged from the pack ice 100 days later. Their next goal is San Francisco. Then, Antarctica.
