MSA staff have been working hard behind the scenes to expand and enhance our training offerings, ensuring members have access to practical, up-to-date safety education across our member industries.

This course introduces the basics of Adult Learning Theory and how it can be applied to workplace safety training, focusing on how adults learn, what motivates them, and how to design engaging, practical learning experiences.

Registration: Adult Learning Theory – Trainer Competency

Designed for individuals responsible for assessing workplace competency and ensuring consistent, reliable evaluation standards across a range of safety-critical certifications, including confined space entry, overhead crane operation, fall protection, WHMIS, hazardous tasks, mobile elevating work platforms (MEWP), powered mobile equipment forklift operation, and respirator use.

Registration: Practical Evaluator Courses

This course provides foundational knowledge on machine safeguarding, including how to identify machine hazards and apply effective safety controls in the workplace. It covers legal requirements, safeguarding methods, and best practices to help prevent injuries and support safe, compliant machine operation.

Registration: Machine Safeguarding Essentials

To improve accessibility and streamline training delivery, MSA has also converted and migrated several courses to the SkillsPass platform:

Tow Truck Operator Safety
WHMIS
Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWPs) Operator Safety
Eye, Hand & Back Safety (recently converted)

These updates make it easier for learners to access training anytime, anywhere, while maintaining the high standards MSA members expect.

We are pleased to share that our MSA Course Catalogue is now available in the Courses tab on our website. It includes current training offerings, availability, and digital learning options through SkillsPass.
