Just Tri It - 2025 Kids' Triathlon

April 27 | 8 a.m

Come for a thrilling day of swimming, running, and biking, when participants from 5 to 14 get to compete in three age-appropriate brackets at the Solomon Calhoun Community Center!

Bartram Living History Festival 2025

May 3 | 10 a.m – 2 p.m.

With hands-on exhibits, tours, music, and food, learn about the history of St. Johns County from the 18th century to the present day.

Dinner and a Movie: Moana 2

May 3 | 7:30 – 10:30 p.m.

A family night out that includes a catered dinner, music, and a showing of Moana 2, presented in partnership with the Northeast Florida Community Action Agency. Each member of the family must be registered to attend.

Turtletown USA Beach Cleanup

May 10 | 9 – 11 a.m.

Help us remove litter and debris from our beaches to kick off sea turtle nesting season! This is part of St. Johns County’s award-winning Get Hooked Anti-Litter Initiative.

Learn about the night sky—constellations, star names, and more—from the Ancient City Astronomy Club in this hands-on stargazing event.

Vilano Shoreline Cleanup

May 6 | 9 – 11 a.m.

Come to this event, held in partnership with the Matanzas Riverkeeper and Recycle St. Johns, and help remove trash and debris from around the Vilano Boat Ramp.

Veterans Kayaking

May 8 | 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.

A program designed in partnership with Veterans Affairs will take military veterans of all abilities kayaking down Trout Creek.

San Sebastian River Kayaking

May 9 and 10 | 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Take a guided trip up the San Sebastian River and learn about the diverse wildlife of our marshes.

Auggie's Storytime

Join Parks and Recreation's wise and friendly gopher tortoise, Auggie (and, sometimes, his animal friends), for storytime at Canopy Shores Park.

Homeschooled students of all ages can learn about Florida's native plants and wildflowers and the essential roles they play in our ecosystem.

Enjoy a relaxing, educational guided paddleboard trip up the San Sebastian River.

Every Friday | 10 – 11 a.m.

Families with toddlers and preschoolers are invited for a special morning of stories and lots of water fun at a splash pad.

Every Monday and Thursday | 9 – 10 a.m.

Work together on personal and group fitness goals through two-mile walks at the Solomon Calhoun Center punctuated with exercises.

Specialty Summer Camps

Girls' Fish Camp

June 9 – 13 | 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Campers get to take fishing gear out on the water and learn safe boat-handling skills, how to use tackle and live bait in freshwater areas, how to clean and cook fish, and more.

Exploration Camp (3rd–5th)

August 4 – 8 | 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Kids will enjoy an engaging week filled with outdoor explorations, attending field trips every day and participating in kayaking, fishing, beach cleanups, and more.

Archery Camp

July 7 – 11 | 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Kids from 11 to 15 who are ready to tap into their inner Katniss or Hawkeye can learn the fundamentals of archery, bow hunting, and bow fishing.
