STATE PARKS PASSES ARE HERE!
Ready for a new adventure? We have great news! With your library card, you can now check out a free vehicle day-use pass to visit 200+ California State Parks.

Research shows that spending time in the outdoors is associated with better mental and physical health, and that many Californians face barriers to accessing their parks. This program is meant to help more Californians explore the outdoors and generate positive impacts in the area of health, natural resource stewardship, and historical and cultural connections.

The passes are in our online catalog for you to put a hold on and pick up at your local library. Each of these passes are good for 3 weeks and grant free entry for one motorcycle/passenger vehicle with capacity of nine people or less. Don't delay! Place a hold on a pass here (more passes are coming next week!). More info on the RCPL passes is here.

For a detailed map of participating parks and more, go here.

Many thanks to the First Partner’s Office, California State Parks and California State Library for making the State Parks of California accessible to all with this generous program.

This Saturday April 16 at 4pm, come meet the RCPL Bees Beekeeper in person. Honey will be sold! No RSVP necessary.

Don't miss our virtual event on April 21 to celebrate World Creativity and Innovation Day and the opening of Makerspace! Watch Chef Manuel from LV Mar create his El Chepe cocktail, and then join MC Sonja Shin, former NBC Bay Area and KPIX reporter, to see live demos from the Makerspace of 3D printing, podcasting, sewing, coding with robots, and more.
