Free Ergonomics Training for Small Business Warehousing
The Ergonomics Center at NC State University is offering FREE ergonomics training for small businesses (250 employees or fewer) with warehouses in our region. The employee training will include defining ergonomics, signs and symptoms of Musculoskeletal Disorders, the importance of early reporting, ergonomic risk factors in the workplace, and simple ways to avoid such risk factors in warehousing environments. Supervisor training is also being offered.

NC Pro Bono Small Business and Nonprofit Initiative
NC Pro Bono Resource Center's COVID-19 Small Business/Nonprofit Initiative is offering pro bono legal consultations to small businesses and nonprofits with fewer than 25 employees. These consultations will help participating organizations with COVID-19 legal issues, such as the CARES Act relief.

Governor's Emergency Education Relief
The Governor's Emergency Education Relief (GEER) Scholarship helps Rowan-Cabarrus Community College students impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic by providing an award up to $750 to help cover the cost of tuition, fees, books, supplies, credentialing tests, transportation, child care, or other costs of attendance.
