JOIN TRAILKEEPERS OF OREGON THIS SUMMER ON THE ROGUE RIVER WALK

Join Trailkeepers of Oregon (TKO) this summer for fun trail maintenance events focusing on the Rogue River Walk in Gold Beach. No experience is required, and everyone is welcome.

Advocacy can take many forms, from volunteering as a Trail Ambassador to speaking up for trails at community meetings. TKO proudly supports the Oregon Trails Coalition and Oregon Outdoors in these efforts, and Travel Southern Oregon Coast is proud to sponsor TKO's advocacy and trail parties.

Visit TKO's event calendar to find and sign up for stewardship events. Alternatively, if your group is interested in a private trail party or wants to work on specific trails, please contact our South Coast Stewardship Coordinator Trevor Bradford. He is happy to work with your schedule.

BANDON CRANBERRY FESTIVAL OFFICIALLY DESIGNATED AN OREGON HERITAGE TRADITION

The Bandon Chamber of Commerce announced that the Oregon Heritage Commission has named the Bandon Cranberry Festival an Oregon Heritage Tradition. This honor is given to traditions celebrated for 50+ years that are integral to Oregon's identity. The official designation banner will be presented at the 2026 Cranberry Festival, to be held September 12-13.

Established in 1947, the festival celebrates the region's cranberry harvest while bringing together generations of residents, growers, businesses, schools, service organizations, and visitors. Many of the festival's signature traditions, including the Cranberry Court and Coronation, the Cranberry Bowl football game, the Grand Parade, the Cranberry Kitchen, and the community dance, trace their roots back to the festival's earliest years and continue today.

CHARLESTON TO BANDON SCENIC DRIVING TOUR MAP NOW AVAILABLE

Sponsored by TSOC in partnership with Oregon's Adventure Coast, the Bandon Chamber of Commerce, and the Port of Coos Bay, the map highlights 20 attractions along some of the most scenic sections of the Oregon Coast.
