📊 Washington & Ozaukee County Market Update
September brought a shift in our local real estate market as we moved from the busy summer selling season into fall. While buyer activity remains steady, the market is beginning to show some of the seasonal changes we typically see this time of year. Here’s a look at what’s happening across our local communities.
Washington County
Washington County continued to see solid home values in September, with the median sale price around $429,000, up approximately 7% from last year. Homes spent an average of about 49 days on the market, while 166 homes sold during the month. Although sales were slightly lower than September 2025, demand for well-priced homes remains steady.
Ozaukee County
Ozaukee County remained a strong market in September, with a median sale price around $497,000, up about 1.5% year-over-year. Closed sales increased significantly compared with last September, with 115 homes sold versus 97 last year. Homes averaged roughly 47 days on the market, showing that buyers are still active even as we head further into fall.
Mequon
Mequon continued to stand out as a higher-demand market. September data showed a median sold price of approximately $798,000, up nearly 39% from the previous year, while homes averaged about 39 days on the market. With inventory still relatively limited, well-priced homes continue to attract attention from buyers.
Bottom Line
As we settle into fall, our local market remains active, but buyers and sellers may notice a little more movement in inventory and timing compared with the peak summer months. Sellers can still benefit from strong demand when their home is priced and prepared properly, while buyers may find more opportunities as additional homes come onto the market.
No matter what the season brings, understanding your local market and having the right strategy can make all the difference. If you’re thinking about making a move this fall, we’re here to help you navigate what’s happening in your community.
