Dear Friend,
I’d like to introduce you to MCHT land steward Kirk Gentalen, who is one of the most knowledgeable “nature bums” I know (his term, not mine).

In this video, Kirk and his son Leif explore wetlands in their backyard and provide info about the cool aquatic creatures they find.

I hope you’ll take a couple of minutes to check it out.
Normally Kirk would be bringing kids from the Midcoast to MCHT preserves to watch, listen, and learn this time of year. Since that’s not possible we’re looking for other ways to connect people to the land. We want to foster the next generation’s curiosity about the natural world!

Perhaps you know of someone who might be interested in seeing this? Please forward along!

Beyond protecting land, your gifts to Maine Coast Heritage Trust are connecting people to the wonder and beauty to be found on the Maine coast. Thanks for making so much good work happen.

Take care,
Tim Glidden
