All Things Important Monthly Newsletter March 2025

Next Meeting is March 12th at 7pm

Our presenter this month is artist Anne Wifholm who will be sharing her techniques for dying and painting silk.

Most of us know Anne as the HAS Membership Coordinator, but did you know she was born and raised in New England with the good fortune of being able to travel and live in the Netherlands and UK for 4 years? Anne holds a degree in Business Education from Salem State University and a certificate in design from UNH. Anne has experience as a public school educator, then transitioned into high tech marketing before finishing up her career with Au Pair in America.

Art has been a huge part of her life. The art bug bit win 4th grade – a ribbon! That particular year, the MFA exhibited children’s’ artwork! It is quite a thrill to say one exhibited at the MFA! Winning a poster contest for the Massachusetts Safety council put the icing on the cake –

Anne took all college electives in art, studied in Amsterdam at the “foundation for the preservation of the techniques of the Old Masters".

Anne continues studying and painting with artists willing to share their techniques.

She varies in style -- fun, functional, folk and frivolous art.

Anne taught folk art at the NH Institute of Art for 14 years.
