Dear {First Name},

It's time to have a look at another one of the eleven new core colours from the Stampin' Up! 2023 Colour Refresh. This week is week 3 and we are looking at Pecan Pie.

If you missed previous weeks, you can find that email here:

Week 1: Bubble Bath

Week 2: Azure Afternoon

Let's Explore Pecan Pie

Pecan Pie is a brand new colour added to the Neutrals collection in 2023. It replaces retired Soft Suede.

In addition to the Pecan Pie core cardstock, ink pad, refill and Stampin' Blends, you can also find Pecan Pie in the Neutrals and New Core Colours combo packs and Stampin' Write Marker packs. It is also in the (L-R) Opaque Ovals Embellishments, Glorious Gingham DSP and the Pecan Pie Bordered Ribbon. It is also one of the main colours in the Earthen Elegance DSP.

Pecan Pie Inspiration

It really surprised me how much I loved Pecan Pie once I started playing with it. It's such a lovely versatile neutral. I've put a couple of the colour combinations from the download (the top left and bottom centre combinations) into action with these two cards.

My first card uses Boho Blue, Pecan Pie and Early Espresso. This also uses the Earthen Elegance Suite and Earthen Textures bundle.

I also wanted to give you a closer look at the new Twisted Rope Embossing Folder. I have used on this card. It's one of my faves and will be perfect for masculine and ocean themed cards, as well as with this Earthen Elegance suite and the new Gone Fishing suite.

The stamp set I have used on this one is the Inked and Tiled stamp set. Even though this stamp set had a punch with it, I have chosen to purchase and use it alone. Fun fact about the images in this set. They were produced by actually laying inked foliage down onto paper, so they are VERY authentic. I really love the fine font and versatile sentiments in this set too. I have also used the 2023-25 InColor Dots on this card.

When I was cleaning up some cardstock, I discovered another colour combination I loved with Pecan Pie too - this one is pecan Pie, Berry Burst and Blackberry Bliss.

I hope you enjoyed looking at Pecan Pie in a bit more detail. It's such a gorgeous colour! I'll be back again next week with a new colour. Until then, have a happy week,

Claire
