Since 2002, ornithologist Noah Perlut has been researching grassland birds at Shelburne Farms, and working with farms like ours to support haying strategies that will ensure their survival. Summer Learning on the Farm
This summer, we’ve been partnering with the Winooski School District to create a summer school program that includes time both on our working farm campus and in the classroom. Learn more about the collaboration, and try our activities with your students or family!
Charred Cabbage with Buttermilk Dressing
Chef John Patterson recently cooked and collaborated with Chef Kyle Knall at Wisconsin's Stone Bank Farm. They paired the caraflex cabbage's natural sweetness with the tang of buttermilk and smokiness of the grill.
