Stephen Colbert and Evelyn McGee-Colbert
Dear Friends,

Late Show host Stephen Colbert and his wife Evelyn McGee-Colbert met each other in high school in Charleston, SC. Both participated in the city's world-famous Spoleto Festival and saw how the arts transformed their city and their own lives. Years later, when the couple moved to Montclair, NJ to raise a family, they decided to help create an arts festival in their new town. The Montclair Film Festival was born. Now in its ninth year, the MFF draws thousands to one of Jersey's artsiest towns. The festival attracts a who's who of famous actors, directors, and amazing films.
This week we share our 2018 State of the Arts feature about the Montclair Film Festival. Meet the festival's executive director Tom Hall, board chair Bob Feinberg, and Evie Colbert. The 2020 festival begins this week, October 16-25, with ten days of independent films, comedies, documentaries and panel discussions. Most of the festival is online this year, but there's also a first-time series of drive-in features.
