Coming Together
Welcome to the Riverview Opportunity Center and Area Technology Center joint newsletter! Coming Together is our joint-school newsletter where we can update you on Riverview Opportunity Center and Area Technology Center specific information, as well as the the successes of our students and the creative teaching methods our teachers are implementing. This newsletter is bi-weekly, rotating every other Friday with the district’s newsletter.

We urge you to forward this to any friends you think might be interested in receiving it — our success is your success, and we want to share it with everyone.

Thank you for your support of our schools and district. Enjoy Coming Together!
Exploring our programs
Exploring our programs
As we approach ATC and ROC recruitment, we wanted to provide a break-down of each of the programs we offer at our schools. These programs are opportunities for our BCPS students to get a head-start in the real world, providing training from teachers who are experts in their prospective industries and connections to various local colleges that offer dual credit cohorts and courses for our students.

BCPS students explore the "7 Ways" engineering process
Bullitt County Public Schools is continuing its partnership with GE Appliances (GEA) and their Director of Engineering Development, Mr. Mike Ekbundit.

JCTC dual credit opportunities for students
On Thursday, October 21, BCPS high school counselors met downtown to tour Jefferson Community and Technical College’s (JCTC) Advanced Manufacturing and Information Technology (AMIT) Center.

Student Spotlight 10-29
This week, we would like to spotlight Grant Lopez. Grant currently attends the Riverview Opportunity Center (ROC) and is taking part in the dual credit Diesel Technology program at Elizabethtown Community and Technical College (ECTC) through the Area Technology Center (ATC).

The BCPS Key Process team related to Communications and Public Relations would like to gather your feedback on our district and school communication efforts. Our team wants to ensure that we are providing you with the information you need, when and how you need it. The goal of this ThoughtExchange is to focus on our communication methods and strategies both from a district and school level.
Keep up with us!
