Honouring our Residents at ExquisiCare
At the entrance of each home, you will find a very special book. In this book there is a highlight of our residents, both past and present.

Our elders have given so much to the communities and they deserve to be honoured and commended for their years of hard work.

These books of highlights lets us do just that. As we get to know them a little bit better we also grow to love them more.

Meet Carole

at

Windermere Manor

Carole was born in Lacombe, Alberta, in 1944, inherited a strong work ethic from her parents. Her father worked in both rural farming and ran grain elevators, instilled the value of hard work, while her mother, an RN/RPN, cared for those in need.

Carole grew up in various small communities in Alberta, alongside her younger brother Brian, with whom she maintains a close relationship.

In 1962, Carole married her beloved husband George. They welcomed their daughter, Shauna Marie, into the world, who remains an integral part of Carole's life today. Despite being widowed, Carole fondly reminisces about her enduring love for George.

Known for her caring and kind spirit, Carole pursued a career in healthcare as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), bringing her warm personality to places like Deer Home Red Deer, Alberta Hospital Oliver, and Robin Hood School, where she served as a Team Lead. Additionally, her passion for music led her to teach piano, often delighting residents at Windermere Manor with her musical talents.

Carole's faith has been a cornerstone of her life, as she regularly attends the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The community's support and her unwavering faith bring her immense joy and comfort.

In her younger years, Carole enjoyed traveling in her motorhome and attending music festivals. During the holiday season, she indulges in Hallmark movies, along with favorites like "Murder She Wrote," "Columbo," and "Chicago Fire."

At Windermere Manor, Carole's positivity, smiles, and kind demeanor permeate throughout, making her a cherished member of the community. We are privileged to share this journey with her.
