Top 3 Nutrition Mistakes Seniors Should Avoid
When we age, our bodies change. These changes might affect our eating habits. Foods we once loved may no longer be enjoyable, it may be more difficult to prepare food, or maybe you are not hungry.
Regardless of the reason why, it is important to maintain a healthy diet, even later in life.
Our blog talks about healthy diets and mistakes to avoid.

March is Nutrition Month
Integral to the ExquisiCare model is onsite home cooked meals. Not only do home cooked meals taste better but they are naturally lower in sodium, fats, and unhealthy additives.
As part of the philosophy at ExquisiCare, we value purposeful living. Engaging our elders to assist in meal preparation brings them purpose. Our staff even learn a thing or two when cooking with our elders who know secrets you won't find in a recipe book!
ExquisiCare Cares
At Exquisicare, not only do we care deeply for the Seniors in our care, but we also care for our community. We are committed to our shared responsibility to enhance our greater society. Here are a few examples of how ExquisiCare is giving back.
ExquisiCare will be participating in the IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer's - Edmonton 2023.

Honouring our Residents at ExquisiCare
At the entrance of each home, you will find a very special book. In this book there is a highlight of our residents, both past and present.
Our elders have given so much to the communities and they deserve to be honoured and commended for their years of hard work. These books of highlights lets us do just that. As we get to know them a little bit better we also grow to love them more.
Cameron Heights
Kay was born in Meeting Creek, Alberta. She grew up on the farm with her parents and two older brothers.
Kay and her late husband, Peter, have four children. She is also the grandmother to four children.
Kay has a Bachelor’s of Home Economics. Becoming a wife and mother, Kay had to transition from being a hospital Dietitian to homemaker. She stayed home to raise her children and was the main caregiver for the family.
Kay was an active volunteer in her community and very involved in the church. She enjoyed singing in choir and used to play the tenor saxophone. Kay was committed to supporting her community and was well known for her baking. Her baked buns were always a showstopper!
Kay enjoys reading, watching curling and figure skating. She gardens and is an avid letter writer. She looks forward to theatre performances and long drives to see country scenery.
Since living at Exquisicare, Kay has brought a positive attitude and helpful nature to Cameron Heights.
Kays smile lights up a room. Her natural instinct to welcome all those that come through Cameron Heights is refreshing and lightens up any visitors day.
We are thankful to have Kay as a member of the Cameron Heights Family!
