New Year, New Cleaning
We can usually spot household dangers...but what about those products stored away underneath our kitchen sink? While they keep our homes sparkling and fresh smelling, they also expose us to health hazards. Many household cleaning products (even those marketed as natural and green) contain toxic chemicals that can cause anywhere from minor immediate issues, such as headaches and
skin/eye/throat irritation, to more serious long-term problems, such as asthma attacks and cancer. H
omemade natural-based cleaning products not only reduce your exposure to these harmful products, but they also conserve natural resources and decrease stream water contamination. So make your New Year's resolution a green one — it's simple and cost effective!
