Trinity Trumpeter | May 9, 2025 | | Join Trinity UMC's Disaster Ministry Efforts! | |
At Trinity United Methodist Church, we believe in standing together—especially in times of crisis. Our Disaster Ministry Team plays a vital role in preparing for and responding to emergencies that affect our church family and broader community.
From hurricanes and tornadoes to unexpected snowstorms, disasters come in many forms. We’re here to ensure that you and your loved ones are never alone in facing them.
💡 Why This Matters:
- Disasters can strike at any time—preparedness is key.
- Our ministry offers critical support during emergencies, helping individuals and families stay safe and recover.
- We are committed to helping those most in need, including seniors and anyone with limited mobility.
📋 What You Can Do:
We’re currently conducting a Disaster Preparedness Survey—a vital tool that helps us:
- Understand your specific needs and resources.
- Identify vulnerabilities within our church community.
- Develop targeted, life-saving response strategies.
If you:
- ✅ Haven’t filled out this survey yet,
- ✅ Have moved recently, or
- ✅ Think your information might be outdated,
👉 Please take a few minutes to complete the updated survey by clicking the button below. It could make all the difference in how we’re able to help you when it matters most.
|
🧩 How You Can Help:
- We're always looking for volunteers regardless of age and we would like to train you before a disaster. Training when a disaster hits creates safety issues.
- Whether you're ready to lend a hand or simply want to stay informed, there’s a place for you in our disaster response efforts.
For more information or to get involved, please reach out to Barry Ratcliffe at disaster@trinityfwb.org.

JOIN THE TREEHOUSE WORSHIP TEAM!
At Trinity United Methodist Church, we embrace vibrant worship—active encounters
with God that celebrate transformation—and intentional faith development to
grow disciples of Jesus. Now, we’re excited to launch Treehouse Worship, a brand-new,
kid-focused worship experience designed to bring the healing, help, and hope
of Christ to children from nursery through 5th grade. This service runs in conjunction
with the 9:45 Contemporary Service but is located in the Dean Fellowship Hall.

- Lead high-energy songs and motion activities
- Guide children through Bible story time and responsive crafts
- Support behind the scenes with audio, lighting, and production
Why Serve in Treehouse Worship?
-
Make a Lasting Impact: Help plant seeds of faith that bear fruit for generations to come.
-
Be Part of an Authentic Community: Build life-long relationships with fellow congregants and families as you serve together.
-
Grow in Your Gifts: Receive on-the-job training and the chance to hone leadership skills in a welcoming environment.
Available Roles:
- On-Stage Hosts, Motion (Dance) Leaders, Musicians, and Vocalists.
- Treehouse Support Teams: Snacks, Assistants, Setup/Teardown
- Nursery Team (Infant—4 years)
- Kinder—2nd Grade Team
- 3rd—5th Grade Team
- Audio, ProPresenter, and Lighting Support.
Serve every week, once a month, or occasionally —your time and talents will open
doors for life-transforming encounters with Jesus!
Ready to step into your calling?
Sign up today at trinityfwb.org/kids or contact our Kid's Ministry Coordinator, Jessica McClung, at kids@trinityfwb.org or by calling the church office at (850) 862-4169.

Trinity Youth Shine in Easter Beautification Efforts
The Beautification Committee would like to thank two of our Trinity Youth, Jackson Dobbs and Morgan Lay, for all of their hard work helping us plant five roses and a Sitting Bench at our new Flower bed outside the Admin offices and five Easter Hydrangeas outside the Sanctuary.
Their willingness to always say “Yes” has made a such a positive difference in completing the timeline we set forward for Easter. They have truly Blessed our Congregation.

Pointing them toward Jesus, True North VBS shows them that he is a faithful friend we can always trust. He’s our True North!
