This Thursday, April 20, Eye Thrive is being recognized by the St. Louis Business Journal alongside EyeCare Partners.

The longtime partnership is being honored as part of the 2023 Innovation in Philanthropy Awards Program, which celebrates local partnerships for going above and beyond standard philanthropic practices in new and creative ways. 

Eye Thrive Executive Director Kate McKearn and EyeCare Partners Chief Marketing Officer Nivine Woods will be featured alongside fellow honorees in a special panel discussion on collaboration at the event.

The honorees will also be featured in the April 21 print edition of the Journal.

With 18 Mobile Vision Clinic visits, it was a busy month. More than 85% of kids seen on the MVC were prescribed glasses, and nearly half were dispensed two pairs, keeping the lab extra busy! In March, we:

• conducted 1,524 vision screenings.
• provided 606 eye exams.
• dispensed 771 pairs of glasses.
• delivered 229 pairs of replacements.

Since June 1, we've provided nearly 4,000 annual comprehensive eye exams. More than 600 were during summer visits, a now essential part of our schedule.

Why? We simply cannot see all the kids that need us at their schools during the school year. Summer visits allow families that need us the most to see us right in their own neighborhoods.

This summer, we're planning for 24 visits to serve more than 500 kids. We're starting the clock on April 27, when we'll have just 24 hours to raise $100,000 for these visits.
