Locally, influenza activity has significantly increased in recent weeks. At the State level, influenza activity is widespread. Influenza activity is expected to continue for months; it's not too late to vaccinate.
The most frequently identified influenza virus reported by Orange County Public Health Laboratory was influenza A(H1N1)pdm09 virus.
No influenza-associated deaths in persons under the age of 65 years have been reported to Orange County Public Health so far this season.
