Influenza activity throughout Orange County has significantly increased in recent weeks. At the State level, influenza activity is widespread and is expected to continue for several more weeks.
The most frequently identified influenza virus type reported by Orange County Public Health Laboratory has been influenza B/Victoria, though Influenza A viruses have also been circulating.
Two influenza-associated deaths in adults 18 to 64 years have been reported to Orange County Public Health so far this season.
