Eyewitness to the Criminal Justice System

Bridget Lowrie, J.D., explores the difficulties inherent to eyewitness testimony and its impact on the criminal justice system.

Whether or not you've read the One Maryland One Book selection, Bloodsworth, you're sure to take away a more nuanced understanding of what it means to provide and utilize eyewitness testimony.

Light up your autumnal evenings with the warm glow of a tiny lantern! Participants will learn how to craft paper lanterns that can be illuminated with a battery-powered tea light. All supplies will be provided.

Space is limited and registration is required.

Happiness Hour is a time for grown-ups to explore their powers of creativity - try your hand at something new, give encouragement to other crafters, and leave a little happier than you arrived!

  • light in color (white is best)

Tie-dyed items will remain at the library overnight and will be unveiled for pickup on Friday, October 19 th at 3pm.

The OverDrive collection now includes magazines! Use the Libby app or read online on any internet-capable device.

Magazines are always available and you can check out as many titles as you'd like, because they don't count toward the six item OverDrive borrowing limit for ebooks and audiobooks

In preparation for the fall book sale, which will take place November 15th-18th, the Friends of Kent County Public Library will not be accepting any book donations after Saturday, October 20th.

Donations will resume on Saturday, December 1st.
