HELP ITAI AMON BLAST OFF TO WASHINGTON DC

Ezra Bessaroth member Itai Amon (son of Dalia and Jeff) is among the few select finalists of the Team America Rocketry Challenge. Itai and his NYHS Rocket Team were selected after months of hard work building a rocket from scratch that would fly just the right height (750 feet) and take a flight of just the right length (48-50 seconds) without cracking the egg inside! Now Itai needs your help to compete with the country's best and most elite High School rocketeers! The total cost to send Itai and his team to the competition will be around $3000. Please consider a designated gift for this cause. All contributions are greatly appreciated! Please email or call Itai Amon at 206-371-8977 if you are able to contribute. You can make the checks payable to NYHS but put Rocket Team in the subject line. You can also call or email the school directly if you would like to contribute. Call 206-232-5272 or email the school at mrivkin@nyhs.net  . Click here to read their story.

RABBI MEYERS INTRODUCES THE MINYAN MAKER

Our daily minyan, both morning and evening, is the lifeblood of our congregation and we all need to do our part to attend minyan as regularly as possible.  Many times this winter, we were short a minyan in the morning or had to wait for our tenth man at night. A thriving congregation, as we are, should not find itself in this position. In an effort to respond to this dilemma, and with the encouragement of Steven Hemmat, I worked with our web designer to create a software, linked to our website, that addresses this challenge. Introducing, the "EB Minyan Maker"!  It's really easy to use: Just go to our website www.ezrabessaroth.net and "Click here to join a minyan" on the left margin of the homepage. Click that button and you will be brought to a calendar.  Scroll down the calendar and register yourself in our Minyan database.  When you are logged in, you will be able to check off the minyanim that you are committed to attend for the month. You may wish to do this one week, or even two weeks at a time.  Now is the time to strengthen your commitment to Tefila B'Tzibbur and to Ezra Bessaroth! Thank you for your dedication! Rabbi Ron-Ami Meyers
