A Message from the President
Dear FA Families and Supporters,

I am very pleased to announce that Frederica Academy will receive the 2021-2022 GISA AAA Drake Award at the association's annual banquet on Jekyll Island next month. This is the first time Frederica Academy has received this award since moving up to GISA's largest AAA classification nearly a decade ago.

The Drake Award is given annually to the GISA schools in each classification that earn the most cumulative points based on the success of each of its varsity programs during the year. Frederica Academy earned 68 points this past year. John Milledge had 65 points and Trinity Christian had 64 points to finish in second and third place, respectively. Click here to see the full results and here to read an article about it in today's Brunswick News. Congratulations to all of our 2021-2022 student-athletes, Coach Nash, Adam Norman, and all of the coaches and support staff who helped make this outstanding achievement possible.

As a result of the widespread generosity of so many within the Frederica community, the 2021-2022 Booster Club year was extraordinarily successful. Thank you, again, to all of our new and returning members, sponsors, donors, volunteers, friends, and supporters. We could not have done it without you. You helped make last year our best year ever from a fundraising standpoint. Booster Club revenue exceeded $192,000! Please see below for details regarding our financial results or click here to see a five-year comparative summary of our revenue support.

Last week, our Booster Club Board had its final meeting of the year. During the meeting, we recognized the following amazing Booster Club Board members who will be retiring from the Board at the end of this month: Detra Brock, Elizabeth Brunson, Ed Reilly, and Alisha Seymour. Collectively, these talented and dedicated servant leaders have spent thousands of hours over the past two decades serving our FA Knights in a variety of critical and helpful roles. Please see below for a list of our 2022-2023 Booster Club Board members.

For those less familiar with the Booster Club, our mission is to promote positive parent and community involvement in support of all of the school's athletic programs. This involvement manifests itself through financial support by joining as a member and through volunteering at the countless sporting events on and off campus during the school year. Both of these aspects of support prove critical for creating the best athletic experience possible for the 90% of our FA Middle and Upper School students who participate in a sport.

I hope that the success of last year and the new campus athletic facility improvements have you as enthusiastic for this year as I am. As I write this message, our varsity football, cheerleading, cross country, and volleyball teams are actively preparing for their respective seasons, and we’ll all be gathering on campus soon to cheer for them. In support of our dedicated and talented student-athletes, would you consider joining the Booster Club for the 2022-2023 year? A membership provides admission for your immediate family to all home, regular season athletic competitions. Please use the links below to sign up today.

Please also feel free to email me if you have any questions or if want to get involved with the Booster Club this year as a volunteer. You can also email Brad Hutcherson if you have questions about Booster Club memberships.

Go Knights!

2021-2022 Financial Highlights + Investments
The 2021-2022 school year was an excellent financial year for the FA Booster Club. Total revenue was $192,150 and expenses totaled $171,908. As of this writing, assets on hand total $112,480.

Click here to see a five-year comparison of Booster Club revenue sources.

Each year, Booster Club revenue is used to help support all of our Middle School and Varsity athletic programs in tandem with the school's athletic operating budget. Most of the expenses this year involved the football/soccer stadium renovation projects, new weight room renovations and equipment, as well as new equipment and supplies for each program and team, including post-season celebrations.

Please email Coach Nash, FA's Athletic Director, should you have questions or want more information about the Booster Club's spending activities.
