A Message from the Athletic Director

Congratulations to our Middle School Football team, Head Coach Beau Swafford, and his staff for finishing the season undefeated. It was a tremendous season, and we are so proud of the team for accomplishing this feat for the second year in a row. We have 16 Eighth grade players who will be moving up to the Upper School next season, and we are looking forward to watching their progress on the varsity team.

A huge thank you to Rachael Lee and Heather Day for leading our outstanding Middle School Cheer squad throughout the fall season. Thank you to all the girls for their dedication to the sport they love.

Our Middle School Cross Country team also finished their season, and it was fun to watch them as they ran in their last meet. Coach Trey House did an outstanding job having the team ready each week for their meets.

Our Middle School Tennis players will participate in their Region Championships this Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. Good luck to our netters and Coach Brian Wyrick as they take on some very strong competition. Camden is hosting the event at Camden High School.

The Girls and Boys Middle School Soccer teams continue to prepare for their first contest on October 31, at Frederica Academy.

Varsity Girls and Varsity Boys Basketball practice starts this week, and I know the coaches are ready to hit the hardwood along with their players.

The Varsity Cross Country team will be running at the District 2-AAA meet on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. The meet is being hosted by Frederica Academy and will take place at the College of Coastal Georgia. Come out and support our runners as they vie for District Championships in Boys and Girls Cross Country.

Our Varsity Football team travels to Bulloch Academy this Friday to take on the Gators. This is our first District 2-AAA game of the season. Kick-off time is set for 7:30 p.m.

Come out and enjoy the competition while cheering on our Knights!

Go Knights!

Middle School Cross Country

The Middle Boys Cross Country team had its final meet on Tuesday at the College of Coastal Georgia. Fifth grader Henry Dorminy paced the boys with a 5k time of 25:05. Overall, the team showed tremendous improvement throughout the season. Every runner showed a boost in endurance, speed, and resilience; a testament to the hard work the boys put in from August until now. A special thanks to our two Eighth Grade runners, Jacob Gordon and Eddie Myers, for being positive role models and leaders for our entire team.

Go Knights!

Middle School Football

Congratulations to the Middle School Football Team on their 36-0 victory over Bethesda last week, allowing them to finish the season with an undefeated record!

Middle School Tennis

On Tuesday, the FA Middle School Tennis team traveled to Glynn Academy for a match against Glynn Middle School. Frederica's players battled to a 3-2 victory, for FA's fifth win of the season. This was a very even match against an excellent Glynn Middle team. FA matches were won by the Doubles teams of Ella Barker + Ava Wyrick and Cooper Lamb + Kelly Offner. The match was decided by a very close contest, with Clifton Gilbert and Nik Reinshagen winning the final match 9-7. Nik and Clifton did a great job staying positive in the last few games that clinched the match. With the win against Glynn Middle, FA won the Region and will enter the Middle School Championship Tournament on Wednesday as the number one seed.

Go Knights!
