Varsity Cross Country
The FA Cross Country teams raced at Wayne County last week. The Boys team placed 8th out of 15 teams and the Girls team placed 3rd out of 14 teams. It was a very competitive field, and almost everyone on our team ran his or her fastest time of the season. Andrew Kaminer was the top finisher for the boys, placing 11th with a time of 17:53. Ellie Runyan was the top finisher for the girls, placing 10th with a time of 21:26. This Thursday, we will run our Region Meet at the College of Coastal Georgia. I feel confident that our regular season competition has prepared us for the Region Meet.

Middle School Tennis
The FA Middle School Tennis team visited St. Marys Middle School on Thursday, October 14. FA left the Camden courts with a 2 to 3 loss. The FA team had a tough time with St. Marys' experienced singles and doubles players. I am very happy with the competitive nature and great attitude of this 2021 team.  We continue to show great improvement in our match play.  FA match winners were Kelly Offner, Ava Wyrick, and Ella Barker

We played at Glynn Middle on Wednesday for a close and intense match. Amelia McGlaughlin, Riley Kruk, and Elizabeth Temple served 5 aces in a row in both games. The girls played very well and fought extremely hard. In the first game, we lost 17-25. In the second game, we won 25-22. In the third game, we lost 12-15.

Go Knights!
