Volunteers Needed

Friday is Frederica Academy's 2021 Homecoming Knight against the Pinewood Christian Academy Patriots. It will be a jam-packed evening during Georgia-Florida weekend, and the game will be filled with students, alumni, visitors, parents, and grandparents.

We need your help on Friday and hope that you will consider sharing your time by signing up to fill a volunteer shift. Please help support our school, athletes and students by volunteering. Encourage a friend who hasn't worked in the concession stand before to sign up with you so the time will fly by as you help fill a need and spend time together while supporting our school. It's a great way to meet new people, get to know parents in other grades, and be a part of the school community.

Just review the available slots for Friday's game and click on the button to sign up to volunteer. We will have two gate tables early in the evening located at the main entrance where all spectators enter. Booster Club members will be able to quickly go through the "BC MEMBERS ONLY" line and avoid the wait.

Varsity Cross Country

We hosted our region meet at the College of Coastal Georgia last week. It was a great race for both teams. Both the girls and boys teams placed first, and we put eight runners on the All-Region team. Andrew Kaminer, Grant Offner, David Garcia, and Evan Moitoso made All-Region for the boys. Kaitlyn Sunderhaus, Ellie Runyan, Katelyn Sitz, and Maggie Dorminy made All-Region for the girls. Kaitlyn Sunderhaus came in first overall in the girls race. We have two weeks before the state meet in Macon. This gives us enough time to recover, run some important workouts, and sharpen up. I'm so proud of this team and how hard they have worked. I know that we have more to accomplish at State, so it's back to the grind!

Middle School Tennis

The FA Middle School Tennis team started the week with a loss in our rematch against a tough St. Francis team on Monday. I feel that we were excited about this rematch, but unfortunately, we didn't have our entire lineup. FA did record a nice win from Kelly Offner and Ella Barker in Girls Doubles, and many of our players were able to play practice matches. I see great improvement from our players when we can play these extra matches.

On Tuesday, the FA Middle School Tennis team was victorious against Glynn Middle. The FA Team pulled out an exciting 3 to 2 victory with wins coming from Kelly Offner and Brianna Kohlhoff as well as Scout Brummett and Emerson Pickens in Girls Doubles. Ella Barker clinched the victory with a great win in singles to secure the match. With the victory, we locked up the 3rd seed and a rematch with St. Francis for this Wednesday's Region Championship Tournament. The Region Championship Tournament is at the Glynn Academy High School Courts, beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Middle School Volleyball

On Monday, we played a great game against Risley Middle School at home. We lost 17-25 in the first match and 19-25 in the second match. Our defense has improved tremendously in the past three games.

On Wednesday, we played a challenging home game against Needwood Middle School. We lost the games 15-25 and 21-25. Elizabeth Temple was able to put up 5 points with her jump serve she has been practicing all season. I am so proud of the team this year for all their hard work and commitment. We compete Tuesday at Glynn Academy in the Championship Tournament.
