School-Wide Spirit Day - FRIDAY
Pre-Game Tailgate - FRIDAY
FA Freshman and Junior Football and Cheer Families
invite you to a Pre-Game Tailgate.

All members of the FAmily are welcome!

Beachview Tent next to FA Baseball Field

Families that have been part of the FAmily for a while know that FA Football and Cheer Tailgate parties are a great time to put names with faces and just enjoy some great FA fellowship before the game on Friday nights. For our new families, the tailgate provides an opportunity for you to get to know everyone and truly feel the benefit of joining this FAmily! The tailgate party will be set up under the tent next to the baseball field. It begins at 5:30 p.m. and runs until 7:00 p.m. Game time is at 7:30 p.m., so this allows time for cleanup prior to kickoff.

Each week, there will be main dishes prepared by local restaurants and volunteers will be solicited to provide the sides, desserts, drinks, etc. This gives everyone a chance to be a part of the party. We will ask for main dish sponsors, and that can be one person or several people splitting it up. Please contact Meredith Reilly if you would like to get involved or if have any questions.

For Friday's game against Memorial Day, we will have Porch.

Varsity Cross Country
The Varsity Cross Country teams competed on Thursday at Wayne County High School’s second meet of the season. There was a big turnout, and both teams performed very well. The girls team placed first, and Kaitlyn Sunderhaus was our top finisher. Ellie Runyan finished second behind Sunderhaus to also secure a top ten individual finish. The boys team finished eighth out of eighteen teams with Grant Offner as our top finisher. I’m really happy with our progress so far. We race this week at the College of Coastal Georgia.

Tuesday vs. Memorial Day

The Lady Knights finished up regional play last Tuesday against Memorial Day. The team played a near-perfect game. The Knights started off strong by winning the first set 25-10. In the second set, the Knights rallied from behind to win 25-17 and finished strong in the third set with a 25-14 victory. The Lady Knights finished third place in our Region.

We will know details regarding this year's GISA AAA State Volleyball Tournament on Wednesday night when GISA updates the tournament bracket.

Middle School Cross Country
Middle School Cross Country had their third meet on Thursday at the College of Coastal Georgia. The team competed against Glynn Middle and Jane Macon, amongst others. FA was led in the 5k race by Luke Smith (23:30) and Rowan Kirkbride (23:45) who finished 17th and 19th place overall, respectively. Hudson Carter (27th), John Quincy Evans (37th), and Connor Floyd (55th) rounded out the Knight's top 5 runners. In the girls race, Isabella Speight finished 33rd overall. The Knights' next race is October 14 at the Coastal College of Georgia.

Middle School Football
The Knights beat Pinewood at home 34-6 last Thursday night. Grant Moore led the Knights offense with 4 touchdowns (2 passing, 1 rushing, and 1 receiving). Luke Sarzier had three catches during the game amounting to over 100 yards. Davis Durkin threw one touchdown pass. On defense, Fuller Wimberly and James Barger combined for 3 sacks and 13 tackles. Patrick Dunn broke up a would-be touchdown pass as time expired as well.

Middle School Tennis
The FA Middle School Tennis team traveled to Camden County for FA's second match of the season against Camden Middle. The Frederica team was once again victorious against Camden. Frederica matches were won by the Girls Doubles team of Ella Barker and Kelly Offner, the Girls Doubles team of Scout Brummett and Brianna Kohlhoff, and the Boys Doubles team of David Beimler and Wells Dixon. The Doubles teams this year have been very solid; our depth of players and doubles skill will be our key to success this year. Our Singles play has been good this year, but for the Camden match players, Clifton Gilbert and Ava Wyrick, both ran into very tough Camden opponents. FA Middle School Tennis has a busy and tough week ahead with St. Francis on Monday at the College Coastal Georgia and Glynn Middle on Wednesday at the Glynn Academy Courts. Both matches this week start at 4:00 p.m. Come out and join us!

Coach Brian Wyrick
Middle School Volleyball
We competed Monday at Saint Francis and lost, 18-25 and 20-25. Although our competitors had strong servers and experienced passers, we still fought very hard to win. Elizabeth Temple and Amelia McGLaughlin had six amazing digs that pushed us 5 points ahead at one point.
