FA 60 | Habersham 30
We had a slow start to the game not converting on open looks and missed layups. Most of that is attributed to the first road game of the season and a lack of concentration. Once we called a couple of timeouts to refocus, I thought we were able to finish better. We got some good individual play out of Vic Riden and Jordan Triplett the entire game. Their energy is infectious and will win us a lot of games if it continues.
The third quarter was a turning point for us. I've always believed the first five minutes of the third quarter is very important for the outcome of a game. We proved that in every phase of the game. It was a nice win for our first road trip; however, it will only get harder. With eight games remaining before the break, we have a lot of work to do to improve before we begin region play on January 4.
Vic Riden led us in scoring with 16 points and also had 14 rebounds. Jordan Triplett was next with 14 points and 8 rebounds. Our scoring was rounded out by William Jobe with 13 points and Xavier Preston with 11 points and 7 assists. Grant Moore had 6 steals, which led to many easy scores. This week is a busy one with the Knights on the road at Faith Baptist on Tuesday, at Brantley County on Thursday and back home on Saturday against Alleluia Community School at 3:30 p.m.
Go Knights!
