FA 45 | Bulloch Academy 53

We started the game slowly and not as focused as we needed to be at this point in the season. We have a pattern of slow starts before improving in the second half. We were outscored 19-12 in the first quarter and 12-8 in the second quarter. Being down by 11 at the half is not ideal when you're playing on the road against a good team. Bulloch shot ten more free throws than us, and that shows a lack of discipline on our part with our fouls. A disparity in fouls seems to be rule and not the exception this season; however, we have to overcome those adversities on the road. We definitely need to change our approach to starting our games.

Jacob O'Connor had a great second half scoring 16 points for the game and leading all scorers. Eli Fritchman and William Jobe each had 10 points. Jobe added seven blocked shots to go with his scoring. Xavier Collier added 6 points, and Bryce Reilly had 3.

We have our Senior Knight this evening against Bulloch. Game time is 7:00 p.m., with the introduction of our seniors between the girls and boys games. Thank you to all of our seniors for their hard work, dedication, loyalty, and love of the game.

The Lady Knights had a busy week on the road against two of the top teams in the state.

JV FA 18 | Trinity Christian 35

Our JV girls played at Trinity on Tuesday afternoon. They did a great job and learned a lot throughout the game. We got a lot better in the third quarter, outscoring Trinity by 2. We started slow but picked things up in the second half. Anna Counts was the leading scorer with 4 points.

FA 15 | Trinity Christian 56

On Tuesday, we traveled up to Dublin to play Trinity. Despite the score, we did a great job of moving the ball and beating their press. We missed a lot of easy shots and had a hard time scoring. Sophie Price was the leading scorer with 5 points.

FA 10 | Bulloch 51

On Wednesday, we traveled to Bulloch. Our focus in this game was to box out and not give up second shots. We did a great job only allowing six offensive rebounds. With about two minutes left in the first quarter, we were down by three, but we made a few turnovers that Bulloch converted into layups. Again, we had a hard time putting the ball in the basket. Sophie Price was the leading scorer with 8 points.

We will play our last home game tonight against Bulloch Academy. We will honor Madysson Patron after our game. Madysson has been a great leader on and off the court this year!

We lost a tough game against Camden Middle, 14-52, but I'm proud of the boys' effort. I'm looking forward to finishing the season strong in our rematch this week.

We had a nice win on the road Thursday against First Presbyterian Christian Academy. The final score was 14-8. We had great overall team effort coming back from a 3 point deficit.

In Friday's game against Camden Middle, our team came up short. We had good play from Elizabeth Temple inside the paint, and a nice three-point play from Mary Ford Fitzjurls.

Go Knights!
