Middle School + Varsity Baseball
Last week, the Middle School Baseball team went 2-1. We defeated FPCA on a walk-off hit by Wood Watson, 10-9. Braxton Sykes and Wood Watson had great games on the mound.

In our double-header on Saturday, we split with St. Andrews, losing one game, 8-7, and winning the other, 8-3. Harrison Schmidt and Jack Dorminy both had good games for the Knights.

The Varsity Team went 3-0 against St. Andrews. Ashton Frankel hit his first home run of the season. Jackson Lewis was perfect at the plate, while John Abbott Havens, Colt Howes, and TJ Sunderhaus all had solid outings on the mound.
Varsity Girls Soccer
FA 3 - Bulloch 1

I was happy to get a result that we more than deserved against Bulloch Academy this past week. We were the much better team, and that eventually showed through in the end.

FA 2 - Trinity Christian 3

Our loss to Trinity on Friday was definitely a disappointment for our group. We will look to respond today when we travel to Trinity, hoping to redeem ourselves from our previous performance.

Go Knights!

FA 6 - Bulloch 1

Charlie Runyan was the man of the hour against Bulloch Academy with a hat trick. His three great goals helped to bolster us to a win verse Bulloch Academy. David Garcia, Max Byrd, and Josh Manning were also able to find the back of the net on Monday as well. The team is looking great and is really embracing an attack-oriented system.

FA 3 - Trinity 1

The goals kept coming as FA beat Trinity 3-1 on Friday. Josh Manning had a goal, and Jacob Leonard scored twice. We were able to find the back of the net and break down Trinity with our one and two-touch passing. We had great flank play and look forward to another impressive week of soccer.

With Gratitude,

Varsity Tennis
Last week, the Frederica Varsity Boys and Girls Tennis teams had a rainout against Bulloch Academy on Thursday. The Frederica Teams finish out their region schedules when we visit Bulloch on Monday and with a homestand against Trinity Christian on Tuesday. Tuesday's match against Trinity Christian should be an exciting contest that will decide the Girls Region Champion. The match against Trinity Christian starts at 2:00 p.m. at the Retreat Tennis Center. Come out and join us!

Go Knights!

Coach Brian Wyrick
Middle School Golf
The Middle School Golf team played their first match on Friday at Southbridge against Calvary Day School and Savannah Christian. The Knights won with a score of 153 against Savannah Christian (195) and Calvary Day School (203). There was a tie for low medalist with a one-over 37 between Campbell Williams and Hudson Jones, both from Frederica. Individual Frederica scores were as follows:

Campbell Williams (37)
Hudson Jones (37)
Lance Reid (39)
Jayden Roberts (40)
Thomas Sams (41)

Coach's Comments:  It was extremely wet out there because of all the rain Wednesday and Thursday, so the course was playing pretty tough. Campbell got off to a bad start with bogeys on the first two holes but played in 1-under from there with a good birdie putt on his 8th hole from about 12 feet. Hudson had a great round going with all pars and then a birdie on the par 5 7th after hitting a 3-wood to within one foot. Unfortunately, he had a rough time on the 9th green and made a double-bogey at the last, but overall it was a great start to his middle school career. Lance, Jayden, and Thomas all struggled a bit with some big numbers, but they were able to hold it together and finish with respectable scores. We are going to get another chance at this golf course on Tuesday, so hopefully, we can improve on our score. We definitely have enough talent to shoot par or even better, we just have to go out there and do it.

Go Knights!

National Athletic Training Month
National Athletic Training Month is held every March to spread awareness about the important work of athletic trainers. The 2022 slogan is "Providing Health Care Everywhere.”

Before you get sidelined with an injury, make sure you consult an athletic trainer, who specializes in the prevention, assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of injuries and illnesses. Athletic Trainers are essential to health care. A reminder from the national athletic trainers’ association – NATA.ORG – during National Athletic Training Month.
