It was a quick week to the start of our school year. I was happy to get things started with our first volleyball game last Thursday. While I watched our girls play their match, I reminded myself of all the athletic games, matches, and meets we will have over the next ten months.

It is so important that we have the support for all of our teams and thanks to the Frederica Academy Booster Club we have the financial backing to provide needed funds for each of our Middle School and Varsity programs.

We encourage all of our fans to support our student-athletes by joining the FA Booster Club so that we may provide them with the resources they need this season. The Lady Knights Volleyball team had its first game this past Thursday. The Knights played a regional game against St. Andrews. Even though it ended in a loss, teamwork is the ability to work together toward a common goal. With that in mind, we are preparing to bounce back for our next home game this Thursday against Brunswick High.

I am thrilled to be stepping in as the new Middle School cheer coach! I know I have some big shoes to fill but my enthusiasm to work with our cheerleaders, to help provide spirit for our football team and school, and to be in the world of cheer again is overflowing. I had the best experience cheering in middle and high school and would do it again if I could. I cheered for a competition team that won regionals and placed 2nd in state. I was also voted The Most Spirited for my senior superlative because you could always find me dancing if there was music playing and dressing up for every single dress-up day.

One of my favorite aspects of working at Frederica Academy is having the privilege of creating a kind, positive, and enthusiastic environment. Our cheer team will keep this energy going, not only for our football team but for the entire school. It's great to be a Knight and lead this initiative. Our girls are amazing, and they will be ready to cheer their hearts out at our first game!

Frederica Academy is partnering with a new vendor this year to offer online Spirit Wear items.

Each week, fans can purchase items featuring two different FA athletic programs as well as a site that sells FA Knights apparel and accessory items that are not to a specific sport.

Since the items will rotate frequently, you should order them at your earliest convenience.
