A Message from the Athletic Director
There is something happening in the Frederica Gym that you don't want to miss. Our Varsity Volleyball team has been on a roll ... the team has been playing and defeating some strong competition. You can tell this group of ladies has put the time in at practice as they all play so well together. Coach Griffin has them clicking in all areas, and I have a sense watching them that they will continue to get better as the season progresses. They are presently 5-1 and will play at home this Tuesday against region foe, Valwood. The game will begin at 5:00 p.m. Please remember to enter the gym in the side entrance between Corn Hall and the gym due to construction. I am very proud of our team and hope you will drop by to enjoy some quality volleyball.

For those of you who endured the weather at the football game last Friday in Thomasville, I am thankful you were there to support our team. It was a hard night for all, but I am proud to have families that support our team through thick and thin. We travel to Tiftarea Academy in Tifton this Friday. The game starts at 7:30 p.m.

Our Middle School sports kick off this Wednesday with our Middle School Volleyball team playing in a jamboree at Glynn Academy. We play Jane Macon at 4:30 p.m. and Glynn Middle at 6:00 p.m.

The Middle School Football team travels to Pinewood Christian on Thursday for a contest against the Patriots. The game time is 5:00 pm.

I look forward to seeing you all at our athletic contests!

Go Knights!

Booster Club Special Tributes
At the first Booster Club Board meeting of the 2022-2023 year, two special presentations were made in recognition of the longstanding and dedicated service of two extraordinary individuals. The iconic Live Oak Tree next to the Booster Club concession stand was dedicated in honor of Elizabeth Brunson while a soon-to-be-built permanent ticketing table in the new pavilion was dedicated to Paula Baker. Read below to see what is engraved on the two plaques that will soon be permanently displayed within the athletic complex on campus as a tribute to both of these outstanding Booster Club servant leaders and volunteers.
EOB Live Oak Tree
"This magnificent tree is dedicated in honor of Elizabeth O'Callaghan Brunson for her extraordinary generosity, boundless volunteerism, infectious enthusiasm, steadfast loyalty, and skillful leadership during her longstanding and dedicated service to the Frederica Academy Booster Club.

Tuesday vs Liberty & New Hampstead:

The Lady Knights had a doubleheader on Tuesday against Liberty County High School and New Hampstead High School. The first game was against Liberty County in which the Knights came out victorious winning both sets, 25-20 and 25-14. Ali Brown-Winans led the team with five kills, Maddie Baldwin had four kills, and Grayson Caine had thirteen assists.

The second match against New Hampstead started off a little slow for the Knights, losing the first set 17-25. The girls bounced back to take New Hampstead to three sets, eventually winning 25-14 and 15-12. Lily Najawicz led the team with four kills, Mildred Reeves had eight digs, and Anna Counts had five aces.
Thursday vs. Southeast Bulloch & Brunswick High:

The Lady Knights had their first tri-match at home on Thursday hosting Southeast Bulloch and Brunswick High. The Knights started the night out strong and never looked back. The girls beat Southeast Bulloch in straight sets 25-19 and 25-14. The team was led by Ashley Prokop with eight kills, Lily Najawicz with five kills, Katie Eckert with fifteen assists, and Grayson Caine with ten digs.

The second match was against Brunswick High, which the girls put on a serving game performance. The Lady Knights won in straight sets 25-9 & 25-14. The team was led by Ryann Hankey with eight aces and five kills and Anna Counts with five aces. I am so proud of the entire team for their level of play last week and starting the season off strong with a record of 5-1. We look forward to our next home game on Tuesday versus Valwood. I hope to see everyone there!

Go Knights!
