The new Middle School Volleyball schedule came out this morning. The Middle School volleyball season was put on hold until Glynn County schools came back into session today.

The only event we are hosting on campus this week is the Middle School Cross Country dual meet with Saint Simons Christian, which will take place on Saturday at 8:30 a.m.

The Lady Knights Volleyball Team advanced to a record 4-4 on Tuesday with a win over Heritage Christian Academy. The Knights started slow with a loss in the first set, 10-25, but we finished strong in the last three sets, winning 25-23, 25-18, and 25-23. The team was led by Sophomore, Maddie Baldwin, with 8 kills and great serving from junior, Ali Brown-Winans, at a crucial time to finish out the third set. We have a double-header coming up this week against Wayne County and Vidalia High School. 

The Knights came out with an explosive offensive start last Thursday night. Grant Moore had 3 passing touchdowns en route to a 44-0 victory. Jaylen Baldwin, John Aiken, and Colt Howes each had touchdowns. Mary Ford Fitzjurls was a perfect 6/6 on extra-point attempts. On the defensive side of the ball, the Knights didn't give up a single first down, forcing a turnover on downs every single possession. The Knights face off against Pinewood this Thursday night.

I was extremely proud of our girls Wednesday at our match against Heritage Christian. Since the season started, the girls have been working very hard on their overhand serves and passing. Elizabeth Temple had seven overhand serve aces in the first game leading us 10-0. We were able to set the ball up and get quite a few kills as well. Our team has improved tremendously on defense by breaking serves down and getting the ball over the net. We are playing so well as a team this year. Everyone’s attitude and commitment is truly making a difference on the court.
