Tuesday vs. Camden County and Brunswick High
Camden County
The Lady Knights entered a double-header against Camden County and Brunswick High last Tuesday night. The first game was against Camden County High School with the Lady Knights coming out victorious, beating Camden County in two sets, 25-13 and 26-24. The Knights were led by Ali Brown-Winans with three kills and Ryann Hankey with seven aces.
Brunswick High
The Lady Knights came out swinging against inner-county rival Brunswick High on the second game of the night. The Lady Knights rolled through the first set winning 25-14. The second set was a little more of a challenge, but ultimately the Lady Knights won 25-20. The Knights were led by Ashley Prokop with five kills and five blocks, Lily Najawicz with three kills, and Anna Counts with eight aces.
Golden Isles Volleyball Invitational Tournament
Friday
The Lady Knights Volleyball team set their sights on playing some great competition at the Golden Isles Volleyball Invitational Tournament over the weekend. The girls had three games on Friday, playing Veritas Academy, Grace Christian Academy, and an inner-conference competition in Bethlehem Christian Academy. The Lady Knights took on Veritas Academy in the early morning game, sweeping the team in two sets, 25-18 and 25-15. The Knights took on 2A GIAA Grace Christian Academy early afternoon on Friday and ultimately lost in a nail-biter in three sets, 25-23, 20-25, and 13-15. Lastly, the girls had the task of playing against 3A GIAA Bethlehem Christian Academy, which would be their toughest task yet to jump BCA in the GIAA rankings. The girls rose to the occasion and beat BCA in straight sets, 27-25 and 25-22.
Saturday
The Lady Knights won the early morning game against Heirway Christian Academy in straight sets (25-11 and 25-21) to advance to the semi-final round to again play Bethlehem Christian Academy. In the fifth game of the tournament, the Lady Knights lost a hard-fought match against BCA 11-25 and 11-25. In all, it was a great tournament with great competition for the Knights.
