Varsity Cross Country Recap
The Varsity Cross Country teams competed at Wayne County's meet last week in wet conditions. It was a big race with 19 teams competing. Coach Al and I thought that we had very strong performances from all of our runners. Andrew Kaminer, Grant Offner, and Daniel McHugh were our top boy finishers with Andrew finishing in the top ten. Kaitlyn Sunderhaus, Katelyn Sitz, and Maggie Dorminy were our top girl finishers with Kaitlyn Sunderhaus finishing in the top ten. Our times are getting faster, so I feel confident that we are on the right track with training. We race again next week, so it will be exciting to see us continue to make progress.

Varsity Volleyball Recap
Tuesday vs. Vidalia

The Lady Knights swept Vidalia High School on Tuesday, 25-20 and 25-11. The Knights were led by junior, Tiana Jackson, with five kills and two blocks, and by junior, Ali Brown-Winans, with seven kills. We improved to 5-4 with the win over Vidalia.

Tuesday vs. Wayne County

The Lady Knights had a slow start against Wayne County, falling in the first set, 11-25. The Knights came back strong in the second set with a 25-20 win with an amazing serving performance by sophomore, Grayson Caine. The Knights would ultimately fall in the third set, 11-15, but showed their mental toughness by coming off a slow first set to take them to three.

Tournament at Heritage Christian Academy

The Lady Knights had a long weekend of games, playing a total of four games throughout the two days. With some ups and downs throughout the weekend, the team finished strong on Friday by taking their last two games to three sets, ultimately falling short in both matches. The team was led by Grayson Caine with 25 digs, Ryann Hankey with 18 kills, Ali Brown-Winans with 12 kills, Maddie Baldwin with 9 kills, and Katie Eckert with 30 assists throughout the weekend. I am very proud of all the girls and the way they played this weekend.

We have Senior Knight to celebrate Madison Morgan on Tuesday. I hope to see you all there.

Middle School Tennis Recap
Last Wednesday, the FA Middle School Tennis Team traveled to the College of Coastal Georgia for a match against Camden Middle School. Frederica's players battled to a 3-2 victory, for FA's first win of the season. This was a very even match against a solid Camden Middle team.

FA matches were won by the doubles team of David Beimler and James Paul, the doubles team of Ella Barker and Ava Wyrick, and the doubles team of Scout Brummett and Brianna Kohlhoff. I was proud of our singles players, Kelly Offner and Jake Berte, who both played very good tennis against tough Camden opponents. I look forward to the upcoming week with matches against Glynn Middle on Monday and St. Francis on Wednesday.

Go Knights!
