Tuesday vs. Ware County and Southeast Bulloch

Ware County

The Lady Knights had a doubleheader on Tuesday against Ware County and Southeast Bulloch. The Knights started off strong winning the first set 25-18. In the second set, the Knights struggled a little and lost the set 17-25. The Knights then rebounded and won the third set 15-5, extending their record to 15-5. The team was led by Ali Brown-Winans with six kills and Katie Eckert with seventeen assists.

Southeast Bulloch

The second game of the doubleheader was against Southeast Bulloch High School. The Knights ran out of steam late in the first and second set losing 18-25 and 19-25. Even with a loss, the girls held their heads high with a significant regional game against Valwood to look forward to on Thursday. The Knights were led by Junior Grayson Caine with eight digs and Junior Maddie Baldwin with four kills.

Thursday vs. Valwood

The Knights took on their biggest challenge of the season against the reigning State Champions, Valwood. The Knights came in ready and beat Valwood in the first set 25-22. The Knights fought long and hard in the next three sets but ultimately lost 16-25, 11-25, and 16-25. The girls played an amazing match, and we look to grow from our mistakes and hope to play them again in the State Tournament. The team was led by Ryann Hankey with eight kills, Lily Najawicz with six kills, and Ashley Prokop with four blocks.

We have our Senior Night honoring Ali Brown-WinansAnna CountsRyann Hankey, and Tiana Jackson on Thursday. Hope to see everyone there!

Middle School Cross Country

Middle School Cross Country had its third meet of the season on Thursday. The Flying Knights braved 90-plus-degree temperatures, running hard and showing a strong competitive spirit. Highlights included Jack Shiver, Miller Durkin, and Hayes Brock each setting a personal best time in the 5k by over 1 minute! The Knights will be back in action next Thursday at the College of Coastal Georgia.

Go Knights!

Middle School Football

This was a tough win for the Middle School Knights. They had to fight the entire ball game to secure the victory. Jaylen Baldwin led the way early for the Knights with two first quarter touchdown catches.

Defensively, we fought the entire game. Wood Watson had a blocked punt and interception while Luke Sarzier had a huge interception in the fourth quarter to help secure the victory. The final score was 22-6.

Go Knights!

Middle School Tennis

On Wednesday, the FA Middle School Tennis team was victorious against Glynn Middle. The FA team pulled out an exciting 3-2 victory, with wins coming from Ella Barker and Elyse Erwin in Girls Doubles and Nik Reinshagen and Ava Wyrick in Mixed Doubles. Jack Tronolone and Clifton Gilbert clinched the victory with a great win in Boys Doubles to secure the match. It was a great match to win for us. Glynn is a team with several good players; I look forward to our rematch in a few weeks!

On Thursday, the FA Middle School Tennis team lost 2-3 loss against St. Francis at the Glynn Academy Courts. The St. Francis team played a very solid match and turned out to be a very similar team to FA from top to bottom. Elyse Erwin and the Girls Doubles team of Kelly Offner and Ava Wyrick all played great in their victories against St. Francis. The other FA players unfortunately lost in competitive matches. Overall, the team had a solid effort but couldn't quite win the close matches.

Go Knights!
