Meeting Formats Updates

Updates to our meeting formats for in-person, videoconference, and phone platforms were voted in at the World Service Business Convention in June. Please find the new formats on the meeting guidelines page and start using these at your meetings now, if you haven't already. Please note that the "Readings Only Format" and both Thank-a-Thon formats have not yet been updated. Translated versions in languages other than English are still in process. We appreciate your patience. If you have any questions about the updated formats, email meetingguidelines@foodaddicts.org.

Meeting Service Position Updates

Document 7: Service Positions – Descriptions of Responsibilities has now been updated, including descriptions for the service positions of Secretary and Treasurer now required of all meetings per the World Service Business Convention vote in June. In addition, all tech-related meeting service positions for videoconference meetings have been updated. We encourage you to access this updated document prior to your next business meeting so it can be shared with all members.

INTERGROUP & CHAPTER ANNOUNCEMENTS

Sponsorship eForum

The WAI, EAI, and the Newcomer Support Committees will collaborate to do a four-part sponsorship eForum. Remaining dates are August 18, September 15, and October 20, 2024 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. PT/4:00-5:00 p.m. ET. There will be short readings from the FA pamphlet on sponsorship, two speakers, and time for sharing from those with six or more months of abstinence working with an FA sponsor. All are welcome to attend.
