EAI's Service Support Weekend

The 2026 EAI-Sponsored Service Support Weekend will be held Nov 13-15, 2026. Click here for a detailed agenda, pricing, and the links to volunteer for service and room sharing spreadsheet. On-site registration will be available, although registration for the meal plan is closed and our conference rate for the hotel has been sold out.

Thank-a-Thons

Thank-a-Thons consist of multiple one-hour meetings held back-to-back on the morning of Thanksgiving (November 26th in the US) or on another day of gratitude. Fellowships should submit the Thank-a-Thon details to the FA Events Calendar. Further information and a list of all Thank-a-Thons is located here. Meeting formats specific to Thank-a-Thons are located here. Please email 12thstep@foodaddicts.org with any questions.

Videoconference Meetings: Elect a Tech Contact This Month

As voted on by the 2026 World Service Business Conference, all Videoconference Meetings are now required to elect a Tech Contact. This service position will be the meeting's point of contact for alerts regarding Zoom bombings, up-to-date prevention practices, and evolving best practices for running meetings smoothly and safely. Starting November 2026, Videoconference Meetings will need to add the Tech Contact to their meeting's information on the FA website. Please elect a Tech Contact at your next Business Meeting and look out for an email in November with instructions on how to add this person's information to your meeting service positions on the FA website.

LIT WITH PURPOSE!

During the months of September, October, and November, we will feature “Lit With Purpose,” taking a closer look at the workings of the Literature Committee, including the Translation Subcommittee.

Food addiction certainly does not respect language or country borders! And there are (still suffering) food addicts all over the world who might not be fluent in English. So, how can we reach and help them? Simply by making our great range of publications and podcasts available in their native language. We have got amazing and very committed teams working on translating our FA literature. Currently the FA website includes sections in French, German, Greek, Italian, Russian and Spanish. Watch this space – more languages will be on the way.
