Fathers, Faith & Frederica (FF&F) is a group that share the following three characteristics.  We are fathers of current or past Frederica students; men of faith; and men who have a deep attachment to Frederica Academy.

FF&F meets in the Athletic Conference Room in the gym opposite Hamilton Hall from 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. (8:15 program start time) every Friday when students are in school. There is no need to rsvp, just drop in.

We are in the middle of a 9-week study on leadership.  Here is our upcoming calendar:

FA Earns KGIB Recycling Challenge Awards!

Frederica Academy received two awards for its recycling efforts through The KGIB Recycling Challenge!

Eleven schools in Glynn County participated in the contest.  FA won Third Place in the Oral Care Products category and Second Place in the Cereal Bag category. We extend our appreciation to everyone who sent their child in with any of these products.

Overall, the challenge kept 155 lbs of waste out of landfills!  As allowed by the competition, we will continue our collections for next year's competition--so please keep the recyclables coming.  They can be dropped off across from Nurse Byers' office.

The awards' ceremony will be at Hello Goodbuy on November 8, at 4:00 p.m. Please click HERE to see the complete list of winners.

Thank you for your support!

Third Grade World Series Class Project

Each day, Third Grade students monitored closely the count down to the World Series. They tracked the teams' progress in a bracket and followed it all the way until the final championship series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Boston Red Sox! When the Red Sox won the World Series, the students had a special baseball cookie snack!

Second Grade Halloween Sound Stories

In preparation for Halloween, Second Grade students wrote and composed their own Halloween Sound Stories.

Students have been learning about the percussion family and the instruments that fall into that category in their music class with Ms. Shelton. After they wrote their own stories, they decided which words needed instruments and added to them to make them more interesting. Working as a team, they practiced their writing and rhyming skills; reviewed adjectives, nouns, and onomatopoeias; practiced with great focus; and then performed their stories for the class!

Second Grade STAR Students:  Jack + Kameron

This week's Second Grade STAR Students, Jack Hoover and Kameron Mathis enjoyed interviewing each other in front of their classmates.

Kameron invited FA seniors Ja'Shawn Sheffield and Jaylin Simpson to be his STAR guest readers. They visited on Storybook Character Day and read Clark the Shark to the Second Grade students. The students enjoyed learning that "sharing is caring."

Jack invited his parents, Abigail and Steve Hoover, to be his guest STAR readers.
