Dear Fellows,

After careful consideration between the Convention Planning Committee and the WSI Board, we have made the decision to host the 2026 FA World Service Business Convention in-person only in Danvers, Massachusetts, May 29 - May 31, 2026.

While we are filled with gratitude for the participation of the worldwide FA fellowship in the 2025 Hybrid Convention, repeating a hybrid event in 2026 would set up FA for a significant financial loss. This financial loss stems from the requirements of FA's contract with the Doubletree Hilton hotel, which will only expire after our in-person convention in 2026.  

Last year's 2025 convention was an experiment in the effectiveness and financial impact of offering a hybrid business convention option. Although it is not possible to host a hybrid convention this year, we are reviewing options for after our hotel contract expires, including changing the scale or location of the conference venue, rotating the Business Convention between a virtual format and an in-person format, or hosting an all-virtual Business Convention and an in-person Fellowship Convention. We look forward to considering these options together and choosing a solution that is both financially stable and includes the needs of FA's members worldwide.

This year we suggest that each meeting nominate a WSBC Voting Member with the physical ability to travel to Danvers, Massachusetts in May 2026. If finances pose an obstacle to travel, funds will be available from the Financial Aid Committees of EAI and WAI. Applications for financial aid will be posted at the same time as Business Convention Registration.
